First, be kind with your words that they will have nothing to criticize you with. Let your words be few, and your light be an example.

Second, you need to point out that the differences in the words do not change the meaning of the text. They were written with different people in mind.

For instance, one might say "I go yonder", while another might say "I am going over there", etc.

Sure, the WORDS used are different, but they mean the same thing.

Finally, point out that the text from which these translations come from have been tested against the earliest possible manuscripts, and with so much time between them, they still remain true to the original texts.

In fact, there is actually more evidence that our modern translations of the Bible is more accurate than - say - then William Shakespeare's plays.

The koran was written - what? - 600 years AFTER the New Testament was written?

The New Testament, however, was written by the close friends of Jesus. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John all were with Jesus. Paul became a follower later, as he was riding along the road to Damascas, and he had a vision of Jesus Christ. Luke wrote about Paul's conversion in the book of Acts.

The book of Revelations was written by John when he was on the Island of Patmos. This same John laid his head on the chest of Jesus at the last supper.

The New Testament is accurate. The koran flat out lies about the Bible.

Well there are dozens of varied English translations, just as there is with the Bible.

The fact remains the 3,000 year old Bible and 2,500 year old Dead Sea Scrolls are virtually identical.

Also remind them the original Qur'an written in Muhammad's time was lost and recreated after his death.

Except them to get angry and even hostile.

That's usually what happens when you point out their flaws.

They play word games.

The ONLY way you can defeat them is by the old method of Divide and Conquer.

Hold them to silence.

Have them pull out an Aramatic Qur'an and then you pick one verse at random and have each of them separately translate it into English without saying a word or looking at each other work.

Then read the translations.

Strong chance each of them will translate it into English differently.

Just share with them their "Prophet" wasn't even BORN until 600 years after The Messiah DIED and ROSE again...So HOW can it be the True Religion or the First Religion or the Only Religion!?!?

Also Tell them that According to THEIR OWN Quaran in the 3rd Saur 54th Verse that JESUS is mentioned as the Christo or Chirst...The Messiah and JESUS are one in the same.

Also my friend, The Bible does not change! The Word of God states "Jesus the same yesterday, today and forever" it also says "Heaven and Earth shall pass away, but my Word will always stand". God doesn't change and neither does His word.

You are in a dangerous position as a Christian if you are being swayed in your beliefs. You need to really tie into your church and learn. Read every day on your own time and ask God to show and reveal His word to you in a way that you understand and won't forget. God Bless you!

Ok the quran never changed because it is man made, muslims keep it. If the quran came to the US for like publishing purposes it would definitely change. KJV the only true bible. All those other versions are wrong, they take words out of the KJV just to make money for there publishing. Thank you for coming on here and regaining strength in your faith may God bless you. Do not let other religions talk you out of it.

Then as a Christian, you must understand that your FAITH will be tested many times over. If God actually wanted to prove himself, he would not have given us "free will" and we would know he existed. The fact that we do not have proof, leaves everything up to faith, "for with faith as small as a mustard seed" you can move a mountain. You must also remember that Muhammad must have known of the teachings of Jesus, hence this well known statement, "if the mountain will not come to Muhammad, then Muhammad shall go to the mountain". If Muhammad came before Christ, then how could he have made this statement? There are many belief's, and I do not claim to make any one God, every ones God. I do believe however, that I, and the human race were created. I just prefer to call him the "Creator" of all things.

One thing I don't agree with you is calling them idiots. They are not idiots, they are professing what they believe, your own should be how to convince them that the bible has still not changed. The word of God standeth sure, it is always the same forever. What makes them think that it changes is because most of the translation from arachic english such as thou, mayest, standeth, ye, rereward has been changed to modern english which makes it easier for this generation to read. I believe something of such happens to the koran as well.

I would fully and clearly answer your question concerning islam and the false god allah, but every time I do, I get reported (says a LOT about freedom of speech, doesn't it...as well as how "peaceful and understanding" islam REALLY is).

There are a LOT of websites that show the true nature of islam. Many talk about muhammed and his life. Many talk about the very, very, very many errors and flights of fantasy in the koran.

Please, don't be deceived. Look at some of these websites and learn the truth about islam.

Well, you might want to start by not thinking of them as idiots. They believe in their faith just as much as you believe in yours. If you come back at him just as forcefully telling HIM why YOUR religion is best, you'll get nowhere. That's how holy wars start.

Tell him, for starters, that you worship the same God. Yes, it's the same Judean tribal god that Jews and Christians recognize. There's more common ground than you think.

Funny, a Christian who doesn't like being preached at. Karma is a drag.

Use your bible and the history of it, which came first the bible or Koran, you might want to touch up on the two sons that Abraham had now that's a winner and read what happened between the two.
