How do you avoid getting carded for buying smokes, drinking, clubbing, whatever.

You pretty much always get carded. The only exceptions I can think of are knowing the bouncer/cashier, or borrowing someone's ID who looks like you. That worked sometimes in college. Heck, I still get ID'ed sometimes at 34 which to me is a huge compliment!

Grow old. Dye hair gray, wear tacky old-people clothes, wear glasses, hunch over like you've got back problems.
Honestly, I don't know. I'm almost 24 and I've just resigned myself to the fact I'm going to be carded until I'm 50.
If you're not 21, just wait until you're legal. If you are 21, just be thankful you don't look old.

If asked for identification, you simply point out that the ABC requires that people under 35 be asked to provide proof of age, and because you're over 35, you're exempt.

If you are under 21 or even look like you are under 21 you will get carded.
My b/f is 52 , looks about 40ish and still gets carded . I think its pretty much mandatory anymore.

it is pretty much mandatory even at gas stations for cigs and or beer......I am 51 and still get carded.......the best way is to be 18 to purchase cigs and 21 to purchase alcohol.....where I live you have to be 21 to get into clubs...some of the same clubs have special nights through the week set aside for teens and pre-legals....

as a bartender, sorry to tell you but you will always be carded unless you go to a college bar where the bartender is in a frat. those bartenders not usually card

sorry to say, but you will be carded NO MATTER what. Here in Texas you get carded even if you're 90
