Certainly there is a difference between being Christian and "religion".

"Religion" would be the belief system itself in a generic sense.

Christianity is to accept the divine nature of Jesus, Son of the one true God, and enter into the covenant of the New Testament for the salvation of the eternal soul.

A saying is: Religion is man's attempt to know God, Christianity is a God's relationship with man.

Your right religion causes nothing but wars. But if you take the teachings of Christ and put them to use then there would be no war. Love is what he taught and if you love everyone (including your enemies) then you would do no harm to them.

Religion is man-made, therefore it is flawed.

Christianity is of God and is perfect. Christians (the people) are not perfect, just forgiven.

To have a firm belief in a religion requires a lot of self hynosis and indoctrination from your family and friends.
