Despite clear admonitions from the apostles in the scriptures you cite and others, apostate Christians of the second century took on the trappings of the pagan Roman religion. They moved away from their pure Biblical origins and instead clothed themselves with pagan Roman garb and titles and became imbued with Greek philosophy. Greek philosophy and terminology infiltrated Christendom’s teachings, especially in the fields of trinitarian doctrine and the belief in an immortal soul. Paul had clearly recognized the danger of such contamination and ‘perversion of the good news’ when he wrote to the Colossian Christians: “Look out: perhaps there may be someone who will carry you off as his prey through the philosophy and empty deception according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary things of the world and not according to Christ." -Colossians 2:8

They stayed to themselves and abandoned the pagans. The disciples walked among the pagans teaching and spreading the gospel, but the baby Christians did not want to be polluted by their idols and wickedness. They stayed away trying to avoid what was prohibited. Philosophy and vain deceit from man was not of Christ. False teachings of the agnostics were trying to squash the Christian movement and the idol worship of pagans was every where and a god and goddess for every sun, moon, star, wheat, barley, love, fertility, etc, etc, etc.
Basically, God had to come and say "Heh folks, there is only One true God - That's Me - Pay attention - You are worshiping things made by man's hands and they can do you no good." The Lord is still saying that today and few listen. They are so caught up in what they think, what they want, what they can do that they can't hear God.

He said that after his going away that apostates would enter the congregations and corrupt the true religion.
Which they did and made it more a crusade to kill any who disagreed with them so they became as corrupt as the false religion that was before them.
