I have been briefly reading through some translated pieces of Quran and Hadd and there is something I don't understand.

Allah seems to threaten everyone with fire who doesn't follow his rules Muslim or not. That sounds pretty standard for a Monotheistic Religion, the bit that confuses me is the masses of instructions on how Non-Muslims should be treated and effectively wounded or killed.

What confuses me is the fact he needs his chosen people to harm others in his name, as if he cannot himself.

For example 5:33(you should know what I am talking about) If he wants people dismembered for not following him, why does he not do it himself? Note: I could give you over 30 references to him stating you should act violently, but I choose not too.

So why does an all Power Diety of any type need people to act in his name against those he dislikes?
Seriously if Allah has a problem with say me for example why doesn't he challenge me, instead of sending minions?

Well the first thing to understand is what is 5:33 talking about?

The verse is refering to the punishment for murder and stealing. It refers to an account of people who came to Medina betrayed the Muslims, stole the Prophets camels and murdered his Shepard. This method of punishment for such crimes really works (even though on the face it may seem a bit extreme), see for yourself on the Nationmaster.com website and compare crime stats of Saudi Arabia, to the likes of the US and UK.

Here is an example, from 1998- 2000

Murders:
United States: 12,658 (0.042802 per 1,000 people)
United Kingdom: 850 ( 0.0140633 per 1,000 people)
Saudi Arabia: 105 (0.00397456 per 1,000 people)

Burglaries
United States: 2,099,700 (13.8321 per 1,000 people)
United Kingdom: 836,027 (7.09996 per 1,000 people)
Saudi Arabia: 11 (0.000416383 per 1,000 people)

This punishment is for anyone who steal, murder etc. You can see Ibn Abbas and al-Shafi's works which eloborate on this sort of thing further.

No it says if you are attacked or confronted or whatever by non muslims then you should act in this manner. It is easy just to pick out a few sentences without regards to what comes before and after them.

This is 5:33 The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter;

judge for yourself

It's so simple really, if there was a loving almighty, all knowing God there would be no Hell no decease, no suffering, no children dying etc... and all the wars in 'his" name really doesn't make it any better.

I know this is (According to religious ppl) a naive and classic atheist argument but that sort of proves the point...why would God make it complicated in any way to believe in him? If he's so powerful then he could just keep it simple right?

I know here comes the "free will" excuse, sorry but it's just another excuse to me... I'm not saying I know there's no God.. I'm just saying if there is I'm not impressed. God is pretty cruel both in the OT, the Bible and in the Quran

Have a good day.

The Judeo-Christian God is the same way.

I've long been an advocate of God or Allah or whatever doing their own dirty work.

Especailly since they can create a universe, people, animals and make floods and level cities with a flash of light.

They don't need us for killing.

In fact God told us not to kill.

Why just Allah? All the scriptures are like this..the God orderes people to do this and that....Obviously He can do "everything" but He want the people to know how to survive..Why should He come to the earth to do this monir things? Now let me clearify.you might have read the thing about killings infidels or so...but i am not sure whether you have read it in details or not..Quran is like a story book, you can't get it if you just pick one or two verses becuase every verse has some context to understand..some contexts are written much before that verse and some are given in one verse which implies for all.....only thing needed is reading it in "flow"...now about those killing verses so those were telling about the time when muslims were understattanck by pagan arabs and they were told to protect themselves from them and this is understood thing that if you are attacked you would attack back.if someone try to kill you, you would definitely answer and you might kill the person in reply............Even today the murder in defence is "no Murder".....isn't it? this is what all that concept of killing in Quran..i don't know why people never get this thing

If Allah has some problem with you, He can do it on his own..and secondly we believe that All the people in the world are His creation.not just muslims......He loves each and every human ! but will punish those who would disobey even if they are muslims..everyone earn the reward according to their acts...! also His punishment for our major crimes is held for the end times..we do get minor punoshments here for our sins but actual asking would be done in the life hearafter.....and i can go on with this for hours......so have a great day and don't be confused about Allah and Islam.if you are making a reasearch try to learn from someone in real and if you are just trying to get some negative points out of it, so it won't do any good..but anyway..all the luck for everything !

Why are you just "picking" on Allah. The God of Israel (the one I believe in) had His people go to war on unbelievers (pagans) many times. Yet God also flooded the lands and turned a woman into a pillar of salt and drowned the Egyptian soliders, etc. Himself, without using humans to destroy. Does the Quran mention Allah doing anything himself? God had done things on His own as well as had people do things.

You brought up an interesting thought. I know God punishing people yet He also blesses many as well. What blessings do Allah give?

Just like any other myth, it doesn't make sense when looked at closely; or to say it differently the only way it make sense is to accept it without any question, irregardless of the facts.

I'm more confused at what u asked! If you were really looking for SERIOUS answers you would go to Islamic forums and ask there. Ever heard of forums? Putting out here doesn't seem all that a good Idea unless you want answers full of bigotry from others.

Kill in a WAR, dude not simply kill people. Did you even read the Qur'an properly?
