Can somebody please translate this for me. :)

"My friends and I sometimes go and hang out."

What is a word used by german teens to you know "hang out" or something like that.

lizzie's answer does not sound like a translation machine, it sounds better than the second one! Jason has a grammatical mistake in his translation.

Martin's got it right

"Wir versammeln uns" is not a good translation for "we meet up" in this context. It has a formal ring to it. (like to congregate)

Wir treffen uns (attention: grammatically correct would be "wir treffen einander") und hängen ab. Wir treffen uns und sitzen einfach zusammen und reden. Wir treffen uns und quatschen.

I think many teenagers use "abhängen", but it is clearly influenced by the English word.

It generally helps to have a location.. lol.

Ich bin manchmal mit meiner Freunden ausgehend.

Though I'm not 100% sure... I haven't properly used German in about a year.

I CAN tell you that the person above me used an online translation site though... ;) It shows like a sore thumb.
