Many thing has been done to promote understanding, but some of the media company and some societies always wants to label islam as terrorist.
i would suggest that everyone should know that if a one person who did a bad thing it doesnt mean other people in the religion does the same.
Harassing other people are terrorist. example are here on some of the answers that you got for the question you ask.
Telling them what is Islam is already a good deed. its up to them to think (if they use their brains to think wisely). Practising moderation Islam is also good because u cant help when u didnt respect other religion or beliefs
