For me, it is walking on broken glass, travelling a winding road through a narrow mountain pass, seeing the depths of the ocean, seeing the sun rise in the west and set in the east. It is having things put in front of me which cause me to seek an answer even though the question or problem has not yet been asked. God gives me the first hint, it is up to me to figure out the right path.

A personal revelation of the word of God is getting an illumination of the word of God from the Holy Spirit. Some Christians when they read the Bible experience a passage of Scripture jumping up at them and they receive a new understanding of it.

I would describe it as very powerful, and sometimes very painful. Not all revelations show the truth behind something good, sometimes they show the truth behind something bad.

Borderline delusional, unless you can back the revelation up with rational thought and facts.

Feelings and belief do not define truth.

When you're talking to someone or reading something and a thought strikes you as..."Hmm...I never thought of it that way before..." and you begin to turn it over in your mind. The more you think about it, the more you agree and feel it's true.
