I'm an employee and had been at work all day, when employee heard a loud bang, shopping cart rolled off porch of store and busted rear tail light. Check cameras and saw no one, shopping cart was not in secured place,which couresty clerks are responsible for seeing that carts are secured.

If you have insurance this would be filed under the comprehensive coverage. No one is at fault, it's one of the risks of parking in a lot where there are carts. Same as if you were parked at a baseball field and a foul ball hit your car. Accidents do happen. :)

Shopping carts need to be built parking lot friendly with rubber non marring bumpers or some similar attachment....

its one of those things that people have to eat the cost on.
anyone who says its the stores fault is wrong, they wont pay.
if someone falls and injures themselves in the parking lot, then food giant will pay, but not for damaged vehilces.

If you park your car on a boat dock and the dock fall,s in the water with your car on top of it you can not sue the dock neither can you sue the store you know before you park there they use shopping buggy,s with wheel,s on them and they roll,hit your back pocket for the tail light .lesson learned.

unfortunately a parking lot is considered private property and no one is responisble except for you and your car . You are responisble for taking care of any damages. good luck .
