Uhmmm....I have 2 kids, and I don't remember it hurting..........
OH YEAH ! That's right! That same GOD that makes it hurt when you give birth, also made man smart enough to discover a WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDERFUL thing called epidural!

The uterus has to contract to get the baby out. It's as simple as that.
And the notion that pain during labor is some type of population control device to me is ludicrous. Birth control prevents unwanted babies, not childbirth pain.
The whole Eve thing is another control mechanism given by Christians to keep women down. It also shows the archaic minds of the ancients who, not understanding how their bodies worked scientifically came up with notions that God did it. This is not to say I don't believe in God, but I also don't believe that whoever He/She is would be cruel enough to inflict pain because of the 'sins' of one woman.
Oh, and just to correct some of the notions men have about what causes the pain in childbirth... the pain comes from the contractions, not from the vagina dilating. The only pain you get from that area is when the baby comes out... sometimes the area tears resulting in a 'burning' sensation. Everything else, (at least for me), is felt in the stomach and lower back areas.

God didn't because he does not exist in any form that takes that much interest in one species. However I think the pain thing is a price paid for evolving to walk upright. The skeleton evolved for an animal to walk on all fours and the adaption to an upright stance while giving advantages during climate changes in Africa which resulted in less dense forest an more open country did mean some adaptions to the skeleton with unfortunate side effects such as painful child birth and venerable spines.

firstly its your body causing the pain not some imaginary diety. the pain is caused by the womb (the sack that the baby grows in) contracting(tightening) these contractions are what pushes the baby into the birth canal and without them the baby would happily stay inside the womb which would be totally impractical for anything longer than 10 months.
pain is also suffered when the head passes through the vagina. but as you know has been bared by millions of woman through the ages

To tell you the truth, no fruit in specific was mentioned so those who say apples have things mixed up. Also God proclaimed this as a punishment to Eve & the women thereafter for their disobedience of what He has mwntioned to them previously not to do see Genesis one for the whole story. Well, according to religious people, if Eve hadn't eaten an apple, having a part of your body dilate to allow something to pass through that's many times LARGER than that part of your body would somehow magically NOT hurt. I think the smarter question is, why in the world would it NOT hurt?

apparently its something religious and to do with the bible, but i dont think i believe that. anything easy to get isnt worth having. its hard work and hurts because it will be worth it in the end and makes you proud and more greatful for having them. some women are lucky when it comes to birth but if not just be glad you have a baby at all.

OK let's be a little crude, so that we can figure this one out!
Maybe the fella you have been going with, is very small in that department.
Maybe you need to go with a BIGGER built person, as this will prepare you for future birth giving.
Or maybe, a some pain will make you appreciate the new life you have just produced
