Yes, it's very possible that the rat will eat the spider since instinct will tell her that the spider is food. My rats would always surprise me by eating bugs, espeically crickets. I'd be a little hesitant about feeding her spiders intentionally, though. It may be completely harmless to her, but there's always a chance of bacteria or toxic pesticides. Not as likely, though. She'd probably be just fine.

Spiders acctually have an uncanny ability to climb right up drain pipes, even when water has been draining.
The best thing to do is get someone else who isn't afraid of spiders to go in your bathroom and scoop the little critter up and put him outdoors.
Spiders do mankind a great service in reducing the nasty bugs like flies and mosquito's- it would be a shame to kill such a creature.
I never allow my children to kill spiders- we live in the country and share our home with plenty- we just scoop em' up and put them in the garden-
I know you are afraid of spiders..but mind over matter..you can do it!!

Please don't! Depending on what kind of spider you're dealing with, your rat could be killed. I've actually heard about this happening.
Also, you don't want your rat to get sick or uncomfortable from any mites or microbes this critter could have.
I've got big-time arachnophobia myself but I wouldn't send any of my companion animals to fight my battles ;-). If you can't rinse the intruder back to wherver it came from, do you have a friend, roomie or neighbor who could help? That's what I do when this kind of thing happens-- my poor SO has had to stop whatever he's doing & escort the creature out more times than I care to remember, especially in summer.
Good luck.

yes, your rat will eat the spider. But considering it is a wild spider (no they do not have "tame" spiders) it's chances for parasites are about 100%, which could transfer to your rattie. If the spider bites your rattie, it could kill her as well.
Try turning on the shower.

I would not suggest putting your rat in there. There's always the chance that the rat is frightened of the spider too. And since it's a PET rat, I doubt it has many survival skills. So please don't put your rat in the bath with the spider. ^_^

ACK! Goosebumps just thinking about it.
Take the rat out, and wash that creepy spider down the drain!
If it won't fit, grab a huge wad of toilet paper- grab the spider- scream like mad and flush it down the toilet!
