I didn't realize that they exist, but now that I hear that it is possible... holy smoking guns! I apologize for calling ALL of atheists boring and lacking imagination.

Indeed it's a paradox but yes there are spiritual atheist.
To my understanding, it's more about the power within themselves as opposed to a deity assisting without.
A former housemate of mine is an atheist but revels in the imagination of mythical creatures: particularly dragons. Here's a quote for you; "As I imagine, so I become."
Has that got your brain ticking??? Good.

Perhaps they believe that one can achieve enlightenment or become "one with the Earth", but not believe that there is a deity involved.

I know plenty of spiritual people that don't believe in God - none of them Buddhists BTW.

They are more what I would called anti-church, opposed to organized religion.

They may have some vague notion of a "Higher Power" per se, but it is not the God as revealed in the Bible.

Anyway I said plenty - it's really only three - Jane, Tony and Mark - but still!

I be 'avin' a great imagination, there, matey. I believes in spirits, an' souls', and angels of all things. Even an afterlife. The only thing that be makin' me an atheist is that I don't believe in a god or gods. Everything else is acceptable to me.

Arr, me hearty. Have a drink on me.

Buddhists are not always atheists, and i think that would be rare if the Buddhist cannon were followed to the letter.
at least the ones I know (Chinese people mostly)
they worship many gods, and each one has its own little area of expertise. the god of stealth is worshipped both by many criminals and by the police - lol :)

Some of us are spiritual. I practice a very poor version of Buddhism, that is my practice is lackadaisical. But today I am going to talk like a pirate! ARRRRRRGGGGG!

There's a lot more to spirituality than one Judean tribal god.

And yes, talk to a Buddhist.
