Examples: Afraid of the wind.

I told myself,

1. That was a car, it just sounded like the wind.

I tricked my mind by,

2. turning on the fan, on high to block out the sound.

I did not want to except what I did not want to except, nor did I want to hear what I did not want to hear.

So I remained afraid of the wind. I could not control the wind, but I could control how I dealt with it.

Until one night, I decided no more. I went out to confront my fear. I stood in the wind, and felt its sting as it blow at me, I heard its truth as it spoke to me. It took out the old air and it brought in fresh understanding.

I faced my fear, and heard the truth. I am no longer afraid of the wind.

I told myself that I never sleep around.

That I never slept with my uncle.

That I can be faithful to my husband.

That my husbands friends are now off limits.

That fooling around with the baby sitter is not ok.

I faced my fear and now I'm as dry as a nun

I think a lot of people turn to religion to block out their fear of reality. Personally, I've embraced reality and found a deeper peace because of it. I tend not to fear as much now.

My mom became a experienced liar. She had some style of psychological ailment...and definite she fairly did have confidence a number of her lies. i'm undecided if mentally solid human beings fairly persuade themselves that their lies are the reality, in spite of the fact that i will work out forgetting one version of activities and changing it with a greater appropriate version on your head.

when i am faced with a fear or i talk about a fear i simply say a small prayer...i say in Arabic..."autho billiah minish shayton arahjeem"...in translation this means "i seek refuge with Allah against the evil one" and then i feel safe again. i often find myself saying this when i talk about my worst fears. saying this helps me to remember my faith. like i am not afraid to die, but how i die. i often now find myself being afaid of loosing someone close to me, and not being able to move on. "autho billiah minish shayton arahjeem" so i guess i don't know if i face my fears or if i give my fears to God...i seek refuge with Him and i guess i let the fear go... btw i like ur pome.

We humans have a great capacity for self deception. We commonly deceive ourselves into thinking that we won't die. We accept it intellectually but are incapable of honestly facing it.

we like to lie to lie the truth is God knows we are to ourselves, we can't fool God. No matter how much we try not to not to face the truth we can't deny what the truth is. We have to face it rather it sin, or mistake, but just trust God.

No. Self-deception only perpetuates more self-deception.
