If that happened to me I would personally forgive them, and yes God would forgive them if they truly meant it in there heart. No where in the bible does it say that a sin will not be forgiven, unless it is a blasphemy (I believe that is the word used) against the Holy Ghost. But in that verse it simply means that a person who rejects God than dies will not be forgiven, a second chance. Also God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost are all one, so when the Holy Ghost is trying to get into our heart and we reject it that is what that verse is talking about. I John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. So therefore if commited that sin and ask for forgiveness than He will forgive, easy right.
But some religions will deny that it is not that easy and say there is more you have to do but where in the bible does it say that?
Like I said this unpardonable sin, which is lies, people make these "rules" up but my question is what does the bible say?

In Islam, there are two types of sin
1. sin in human-human relationship, for this kind of sin, human must get forgiveness by other human that he had done wrong, example badmouthing another person. then if he/she forgiven by the person involved, he will be forgiven by God
2. sin in human-God relationship, this only God can forgive and hopefully He would forgive based on Muslim understanding of The God are Most Merciful
so, for human-human relationship, it is good for a muslim to forgave others like example before 1st Shawal Prayer and The God gave Mercy to the Muslims that forgave each people that done them wrong.
I know that every religion had the concept of their sin-forgave thing.. just i want to tell here, if u asked for forgiveness, God always listened.

You mean, if God forgives people who murdered someone you cared for, how can you continue to believe in him?
Or you are asking about killers feeling of guilt (if any)?
Hell and paradise is ones personal vision and state of mind and hart. What is paradise for one, might be a hell for the other. Its a matter of choice, in given circumstances.

If you genuinely repent of what you did wrong, you will be forgiven.
Only sins against the spirit will not be forgiven.
You can do anything against people and forgiveness is possible, because God can rectify anything you do, but to sin against the spirit is to God..unforgiveable.
Example. when Judas Escariot betrayed Jesus, that was against the spirit. Judas will not be resurrected.
Religious leaders who have access to the holy writings and fail to comply with them are also sinning against the spirit.
(Matthew 12:31) “On this account I say to YOU, Every sort of sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the spirit will not be forgiven.
(Matthew 12:32) For example, whoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the holy spirit, it will not be forgiven him, no, not in this system of things nor in that to come.
(Luke 12:10) And everyone that says a word against the Son of man, it will be forgiven him; but he that blasphemes against the holy spirit will not be forgiven it.
So that anyone on this site that accuses Jesus of any sort of wrongdoing is sentencing themselves to miss out on God's new system.

There is only one unpardonable sin, & that is sinning against the Holy Ghost, & anyone that has commited that sin, God will never deal with that person again. Killing someone or murder is NOT the unpardonable sin, Yes they can be forgiven, & yes everyone faith will be tried as gold in the fire, Trying of our faith makes our faith shine as pure Gold.

I've never been in that situation, so I can't really speak to how, but I know that people forgive those who murder their loved ones all the time. Clearly, then, it's possible.
And yes, it's true - according to orthodox Christianity, even a murderer may receive forgiveness from God.

from the Catechism Of The Catholic Church:
CCC 1431 - Interior repentance is a radical reorientation of our whole life, a return, a conversion to God with all our heart, an end of sin, a turning away from evil, with repugnance toward the evil actions we have committed. At the same time it entails the desire and resolution to change one's life, with hope in God's mercy and trust in the help of his grace. This conversion of heart is accompanied by a salutary pain and sadness which the Fathers called animi cruciatus (affliction of spirit) and compunctio cordis (repentance of heart).
CCC 1432 - The human heart is heavy and hardened. God must give man a new heart. Conversion is first of all a work of the grace of God who makes our hearts return to him: "Restore us to thyself, O LORD, that we may be restored!" God gives us the strength to begin anew. It is in discovering the greatness of God's love that our heart is shaken by the horror and weight of sin and begins to fear offending God by sin and being separated from him. The human heart is converted by looking upon him whom our sins have pierced:
CCC 1433 - Since Easter, the Holy Spirit has proved "the world wrong about sin," i.e., proved that the world has not believed in him whom the Father has sent. But this same Spirit who brings sin to light is also the Consoler who gives the human heart grace for repentance and conversion.

I question my faith all the time...that isn't Gods failing..it is mine. For a violent murderer to find redemption would be a miracle. Not because the sin he/she committed is too grievious for the blood of Christ to cover....it is not, but because that persons own inner conviction of what they have done. It would be difficult for them to truely believe they were forgiven. So let me explain it to you.
Satan doesn't make people sin, but he certainly intices people to do it. Whatever rage or sick perversion a person might feel and whatever fantasies they harbor in venting their tendancies on another..they have already committed it in their hearts. So then, these demons plaguing them keep at them and at them and at them until they finally act on what they had previously either been to scared to do or without oppertunity. These people for a time become their own demons...whatever or whoever that person was as a child, an infant, a baby..they are gone and in their place stands this grown person of death because somewhere in their lives they allowed their demons to become them. The time to turn to God was when they began to suffer from thoughts of depravity, or suffer from fits of rage or whatever...like these sick, twisted child predators...well, the time was when they first began seeing their perverted propensity. They should have gone to God then. However, they have sinned and grieviously so toward God, themselves and not the least the victem and families...even society and now they have recieved penalties (if caught) and are outcasts. Well, the first time you give into temptation that is when the demons abandon the stricken and either that person has the spine to see what they are and have become or they grow numb and dull, without remorse or conviction..even when the Devil stands in accusation and that is what he wants. Satans goal is to intice you to sin and then abandon you to the guilt of that sin so that you will never recieve redemption. This person is lost...either way...guilt/remorse or not. Still, the power and call of God is an awesome thing. If this person were to be called to repentance and heard that voice and turned to seek God then He is just and faithful to forgive that person...IF they are sincere. IF they are as repulsed by their sin or more than you or I. IF they truely believe they have forgiveness. All the criteria must be met. They first have to confess, then repent and then turn from their sin as they ask for forgiveness and then devote their lives to God. It is up to God to judge that persons heart. Just remember one thing...that person didn't begin evil...The Blood of Christ returns us to the innocent loving hopeful children that we once were...all of us. Is any sin more grievious than the next really? Don't we all contribute in some way to the death of this world and each other? Jesus says if you hate your brother then you are guilty of murder. If you so much as lust after another not your spouse then you have committed adultry (I'm guilty of this one...or was until I prayed through it and was delivered and forgiven...I was having romantic obsessive thoughts about a co-worker - I confessed to my husband and we prayed through it and all is restored to normal). You see, Satan wants to jack with people...many people let him. Some are weak or selfish and that is why these things kept in secret, hidden away tend to fester and boil until something really bad erupts. Child abuse causes it, pornography, mental illness. Still...go back to when that person was first born, when they were an infant, a little child? Would you put that child to death? Well, in the sight of God..when someone accepts His atonement..that is what He sees. Even still...for sinners who never come to repentance...they are not tortured forever in a fiery pit of flames (Hell)...they are destroyed in it. Hell is actually the replacement word for the Hebrew "sheol" which means death/the grave/to be covered over. His mercy is so great..but there has to be justice and an end to sin, death and suffering and so when Judgement comes...for those who have not given their lives to God...yes, they will be destroyed. If you would like a better example...read the story of Ninevah (Jonah and the Whale) paying close attention to the end. Jonah wanted those evil, wicked people to be destroyed...yet God showed them mercy because they heard His warning and heeded it. Then read the account of Sodom and Gommorrah...completely different ending. God has the uncanny knack of taking the most vile, evil, wicked and putrid thing and making it pure, whole and worthwhile again. If He can forgive and be so merciful...we ought to consider. I know its tuff....if it were my loved one...what would my tune be then...yet, I know enough to pray and ask God to give me what I need to do what He has asked. Forgiveness is essential. Love in Christ, ~J~
