CAn't say some dogs do and dome don't.
I just had one who ate and was jumping and running all over the place and 15 minutes later she was delivering.
try to check her temp if it's 00 or lower tehn they usually will dilever within 24-48 hours.
prepare a place for her to birth the pups, I use plenty of paper as this is easy to clean if needed and I have lost pups that got entangld in blankets and teh blankets hold so much moisture. She should start digging a lot within 12 or so hours before delivering and the heavy panting is a pretty sure sign she is starting labor.

Some dogs will eat before delivery and some won't.You will need to prepare her a large pasteboard box, line with newspaper and put her in it.She will let you know when her labor begins,as she will start scratching and tearing the paper. After labor begins and she starts bearing down with contractions,a pup should be expelled within 45 minutes to 1 hour.If no pup is expelled witin this time, call your vet,as a pup could be lodged and the Mom will need a C-section,or she will die.If pup is expelled, just watch her and note that she begins cleaning the pups head area first and if not you must remove bag of fluid from head ,or pup will drown within seconds, let her finish cleaning the pup.Good luck on your new litter.

She probably is going into labour slightly early yet can not confirm for sure no you could actually merely shop an eye fixed on her and if she nonetheless hasn't inebriated something in approximately 4 hours time then call the vet they might desire to have a out of hours provider because it is significant to maintain her hydrated

Probably not! She'l be too busy looking for a safe warm place to have her babies plus dealing with the pain!!! She'll want to be somewhere silent and maybe dark, depending on her nature and may only drink small amounts of water. Leave her food down for her though as all dogs are different and she might just want a little bit before she starts birthing. Make sure she has plenty of old, clean blankets to rip when the pain gets bad and keep your eye on her, she may need your help!

24hours before mine whelped, she did eat but not a lot. The little bit of advice I would say is to make sure you have fresh water when she starts and that you do have some food. As all of mine seemed to have a break from all the hard work and had / wanted some food.

Depends on her! Some dogs stop eating when they are due to whelp, others will eat then vomit their dinner back. Some will eat between pups! Don't rely on her not eating as a sign of imminent whelping

All dogs are different, I had a few that ate almost nothing a few days before whelping. I've also had them have a normal appetite.

nope because they usually empty their bowlels before giving birth, so eating would be pointless, and they usually have started to go in to labour so they are not really in the mood for eating

Yes she might, not all dogs do though.Just make sure she has plenty of drinking water beside her in case she needs it. One of mine drank lots in between pups.
