The Mediterranean climate I live in in coastal California is pleasant, but the weather we have during the long dry season between May and Oct. or Nov. can be boring. Absolutely no rain, and virtually the only clouds we see during that time is fog.
If you like variety of weather, Mediterranean climate is not for you

I live in Pakistan, the land of real four seasons. I love all the four seasons equally. The Town I live in, is in the Geographical centre of Pakistan. It was a desrt half a century ago, when I arrived here as a three year old child. I have seen this deset turning into green fields. The sumeer is hottest here, some 49 C, the winters are fairly cold, occasionaly 0 - 11 C, the autumn and spring are pleasent..... We grow wheat, sugarcane, Cotton, and many other crops including vegetables, we yield mangos, dates, and oranges mostly, and lot of other fruits. When we discuss about living in a cooler area, I hate to live in a refrigerator or Deep freezer. Life is worth living in tropical countries, with four real seasons. Pakistan is a lovely land, from warm coasts to snow covered highest altitude mountains, we have everything here. (Al Hamd o Lillah)

I live on the coast in Southern California and we have 2 seasons, green and brown.
I do miss having regular rain, but I hate the heat so the climate is pretty nice to me. It doesn't get over 80 very often.

I am born and raised in Southern California...but I've always said I should have been a Northern California, Oregon. or east coast... I'd much rather have it cold, rainy and cloudy. I love the cuddle factor and the sweater weather, Yes even the snow...I think I'd survive it. Even as a child i hated the hot,hot days of So. Cal.

I Live in buffalo the snow capital of the US. I love it. There are no natural disasters here. Sure a little snow now and again but nothing that will ever make me evacuate my home.

Plus with global warming the winters have only been getting shorter and milder. (The shift in weather patterns)

i moved from colorado to Texas. Stupidest thing I ever did, I passed out as soon as I got out of the plane in Houston went from 2 feet of snow ( I was wearing thick clothes, snow boots and a jacket, obviously wasn't thinking) to 90 degree weather. Needless to say I'm still here and hate it. So if you like humidity, two seasons (hot summer, rainy wet summer) then Texas is for you.

Too hot in summer but things are different every day, makes me wonder how those in Brisbane survive February.
