There are no jobs that Americans won't do, there are however starter jobs which most of us have at one time done maybe it was in college or maybe summer jobs. The closest job that I will almost say is a job that Americans won't do is picking produce and there are several reasons for this including the fact that we actually subsidize farmers to pay for their labor, another is that its not full time work, its seasonal and most people are looking for full time employment.
I would not speculate how much the gentlemen in the story of woe makes but he is here illegally and most certainly is taking a job that an American has done in the past and will do in the future and in the process lowering wages for the rest of citizens in that field. I am not sure where you people live that you have never seen an American working at McDonald's, doing landscaping or an American worker in construction, in fact come to Virginia and I will show you an all citizen construction and excavating company, from owner to roofer.
Also, why does everybody seem to overlook the stolen social security number, does anybody besides myself think its bad to take a number that does not belong to you? Your social security number is your whole life... Your credit, your history, your future.

I am currently an unemployed housekeeper(just lost my job because I don't speak spanish) and have done it for many years. I have worked fastfood as well as babysitting. I have been a dishwasher and I have mowed and cleaned many yards. midcenturydesigner, not all of us can afford college or trade school. I am 35 and have been living on pretty much minimum wage since I was 16 when I first began working. Right now I am trying to learn Medical billing on my own,no proper schooling( I am hoping I can find and understanding employer who will give me a chance) because in the state I live in, people like me are being replaced by illegals who don't speak English. I have a chronically ill child with $300.00 a month pharmacy bills. I support him on my own. There are people like me that this is affecting,i'm not the only one in the situation. If these people take our jobs where does that leave us?

I don't believe that the worker was "whining" it is, as read from the former members version the sobbing is coming from.
As for my side I say if he managed to get and hold that job for fourteen years then the best to him. He had to have worked hard to get the positions that were available. I work also and know that supervisors work long hours and are used by both workers and management.
Now he is caught, all he can do is move on. Most illegals I have worked with leave right away, their gone before calls are made or dust has settled.
I did work with "Oscar" when his mismatched letter was pulled it was due to the fact the owning citizen wasn't paying taxes and they came to Oscar for the money all thirty five thousand dollars of it.
Oscar wanted only to be quiet and work so he paid without complaining, I was the one pushing him to be up front and let them know legal or not I owe no money. Oscar paid a slight over four hundred every check for over a year. He got a second letter stating there was an additional five thousand owed.
This put him behind the current amount paid and deeper in debt with the government paying a bill not his but he continued to pay. Again I told him that he was not responsible and figured out the new deduction amount...six hundred and fifty dollar per check. Oscar figured at this point he would bring home less than forty dollars and quit.
As with illegals, he was not slowed down, he found two other jobs and works with new numbers. Oscar has been asked to be translator, line supervisor, he has been employee of the week many times. He is currently earning over twenty-seven dollars an hour.
Some one point out where is this low wage they work for, what free benefits would he be able to receive as he has a great benefit package and a great wage. Oscar applied, as did others, he was the company’s choice and openly the better one for this job.
Please he is only doing a job, not one we wouldn't do or stealing. No one gets any benefits when they leave only another job. I'm sure the government knew he didn't owe this money but it was easier to get payment from the illegal than it's own citizen.

Just doing the jobs that Americans won't do is just another corporate lie so they can hire cheep labor, increase their profit margin, and make their stock prices go up 1/4 of a point.
Have you ever seen Dirty Jobs? There is nothing that an American won't do. So long as it pays enough to pay the bills. Illegals can apply for government assistance, Pay next to nothing in taxes, and work under the table, so they can send the money back to a country who doesn't want them any more then we do. What corporate swine would want to help an American pay a mortgage. when they can hire illegals at a fraction of the price?

No illegals are not doing jobs that Americans won't!!!!!
Americans just don't do the jobs because the companies pay so little. Americans have taxes, and social secruity come out of their paychecks which makes it even worse. Illegals don't have to worry about taxes or social security!!

Just like an American, He had been working there for 14 years and because of his upward mobility it is evident that he was doing a good job, if an American is hired to replace him they will be hired at the starting wage. That this man was hired at 14 years ago when he was employed by the company!

They aren't *all* doing jobs Americans won't do, and there are *some* Americans who will do any job, no matter how lowly. These are exceptions to the general trends. It is true that *most* illegal immigrants are doing jobs that *very few* Americans want to do, and I think you'd have a hard time arguing with that.
I disagree about the "stealing jobs" line, though. This phrase comes from the point of view that there are a finite number of jobs available. I find it extremely pessimistic, and also incorrect. If people have useful skills, then there will be work for them. If we bring in extra people with useful skills, there will be more jobs created as a result. My evidence for this point of view is that unemployment has actually gone down and stayed low in America during this recent influx of immigrants. I'm sure you can find places like the upper Midwest where this isn't true, where unemployment has been bad for the last 10 years, but this is the region of the United States with the lowest fraction of its population that are illegal immigrants, and it has had a poor economy for other reasons - namely the fact that other countries are more competitive in heavy manufacturing than they were 30 years ago.

I used to manage a food processing plant. The plant was purchased right before I quit.
As soon as the new company took over all 400 of my American employees simultaneously decided that they no longer wanted to do that type of work. Fortunately there was a group of illegals waiting in the wings to do the work Americans would not do.
I call bullsh!t!!!!!!!!!!!
My in laws were once drug dealers. When they were arrested they both had to do long prison terms. Neither of them was able to find a comparable job to what they were making as dealers. They to were separated from their children.
You know why?? Because what they were doing was illegal. That guy got to live off of his illegal activities for 14 years. Instead of whining he should be thankful that he did not have to go to jail.

it is true they do some jobs americans wont do, but in other cases the jobs are jobs that americans wont do for the price they will do it for. They have driven down the wage in many fields to a point where it is not feisable for a tax paying american who wants less than 30 people living in his apartment to be able to afford working there.
Also they take jobs americans do want like roofing, tiling, construction and they do them below scale.

NO....The Illegal Aliens simply come to the US to get a low paying job so they can still qualify for all the Entitlements--Welfare, Medicare, Free Education, Housing...
End Entitlements and the Illegal Aliens will deport themselves back to their homeland.
Illegal Aliens are NOT Immigrants.
