Hey all, just recently got into tarot, and have found its something i have a unique attachment me, maybe due to my grandmother being an avid tarot card reader.

i recently did two spreads, about a relationship i'm in asking two similar questions.

one was - where are we going
the other was - will he commit

the two spreads were very similar in strange ways. but to cut the story short the two last cards of spreads 1 and 2 (representing the result/the answer) was (spread 1): The wheel of Fortune and the last one of spread 2 was: Death....my interpretation is that the cards are saying i may have to leave this man, as a great change is coming. or IF i leave him, a great twist of fate will occur for the best for me.

could these cards mean anything else at all?

all help appreciated.

YES! the heirpholent (sp?) came up in the first spread, (outside influences) - money seems to be very important to him, almost obsessive. he will do anything for money it seems, he tells me he is using others to make money. (not from me, i'm a broke student lol)

the majors that came up: magician (past) hermit, heirohpant, wheel of fortune) the seconds spread: the devil (hopes fears) death (future)

They can mean a great number of things.. Wheel of fortune could be a sign that it will progress to another level altogether, bringing in a new way of life.. (marriage, moving in.. anything ), and Death could be the end of his single life.. (or at least formally unattached life).. could be the end of an idea that he had.. Note: I am not saying your interpretation is incorrect, if that's what feels right it just may be .. it makes sense with the cards drawn just as much as what I typed in ..

Each card can have many meanings.. one of the reasons I tend to find it difficult to read myself.. I see either what I want to see, or my questions are not good enough, so it brings up something completely different to tell me about.. You will probably get better at judging which is the message you need..

Now, the rest of the cards in the reading might make a difference in the reading.. for example, how many of the cards drawn for each where Major Arcana?.. How many of each suit? In which positions.. Did you pick your own signifying card or did you do that as part of the draw.. (I normally let the cards tell me what it should be.. ) Seeing that the question deals with relationships, the underlying cards might be important to tell you what end the other cards are implying.. for example, if the base of the matter... in a celtic cross spread would be under the significator.. this would be, something effecting the subject that you may not realize.. so, for a reading about commitment, the card in this position might be about a fear of commitment.. (which would lead to your answer), or it could lead to something else.. if it was about.. maybe money... or if it were, the Heirophant this would indicate that he needs to really take some time to think things through.. or that you do..

All the cards in the reading are important.. so I would suggest.. writing all your readings down.. and then rereading them a few days later.. see if they seem more clear.. keeping a journal of them helps.. You will start to see patterns.. certain cards coming up pertaining to people you know, cards that when in a certain position tell you the same thing in each reading.. ..

Well, the Wheel of Fortune signals a change and in that change comes good luck. It doesn't necessarily mean that you'll leave him, but you must look to the other cards as well. Death means rebirth/regeneration...maybe he's thinking about committing, and hasn't quite yet. It could signal a change within him. You have to look to the other cards for further information. Remember that it's not set in stone. You can alter the outcome if you look to the "allies/supporters" and near future cards (that is if there are such cards...im just guessing you're doing a celtic cross of some sort). Hope that helps!

I don't think tarot will help in communicating with spirits. It's more of a way to search the inner mind than the spiritual world. I would suggest using a pendulum or something similar but that can be tricky because the answer most likely will come from your sub-conscience and not the spirits. If they want to communicate with you they will. Don't try to force it. Blessed Be )O(

To me, the Death card just means the end of one thing so that another can begin. This does not necesarily mean you have to end your relationship, but it may mean the end of one phase of your relationship so that another can begin. It could mean many other things as well, I just mean to say you don't have to think negatively about the change that is coming. Just be ready for it and you can affect what that change will be.

Its not really recomended by most that you read your own tarot because if your too emotional about your question you could project the answer you want instead of getting a true reading.
