Thats a good question.

You have to first discern between false religion and true religion.

True religion can be identified easily primarily by the actions of its adherents and what beliefs they follow.
The reason behind this is that a true religion must be backed by God , and his people obviously would display such backing by their lives.
What determines what is good and bad , right and wrong , is decided by God and is found in the pages of the Bible.
It is the Bible that is used as a measuring stick which we can compare spiritual matters , and indeed religions as a whole against.
The true religion MUST be practicing TRUTH.

Anything other than the true religion , must obviously be 'false religion'.

False religion was generated by the lies of Satan , his demons and people that follow him.
The purpose is to mislead people away from worshiping the true God Jehovah.

As can be seen today with the smorgasboard of religions to choose from with all their differing opinions we can see that Satan has done an excellent job at deceiving the masses.

The Bible tells of a time coming soon called Armageddon.
At this great war Satan and all that intentionally or unintentionally follow him will be done away with.
Additionally the world empire of false religion will be completely destroyed , never to return again.

So from that time onward there will be only one religion that is practiced by good truly God fearing people throughout the world.

Every one else and their unGdoly ideas will be gone.

That is why it is vitally important for us today to examine our beliefs and test them against the Bible.

If it doesn't measure up to Gods standards ,, then we have to abandon it and follow the true God , in complete truth.

Yes but they all have one more stage to pass ie a clash, within and without. Many People shall leave the faiths en mass and the remaining fanatic adherents shall have a final clash with other religions. What becomes indefensible ,can not be defended and must fade away or perish.

No. As an atheist physycist once said in an interview (wish I could remember his name) "Science and religion answer two different questions. Science answers How? and religion answers Why? I don't believe in God, but if the why behind the big bang was that God chose to do it that way it would not make it any less spectacular."

It will eventually fade away; but first some con will make a last-ditch effort by writing "the New, Testament #2 ", and they'll claim they have a new, new covenant, and that business about walking on water, and turning water into wine was just a little fib and you should forget about that crap.

On the last page it will say "never mind, we were just kidding with those first two books.--- Jesus Christ, can't you guys take a little joke?".

There are apt to be tiny pockets of the religious remaining, but round about a century from now, in the wake of ever-expanding technologies and the sciences, religion as it now exists will be no more than a relic in museums.

Yes, religion as a man-made system will become as irrelevant as the Rorschach ink-blot test.

Yes, it will be exctinct, gone, obsolete, absolutely finished, abolished from the Earth.
But it will live on and on through the ages in the hearts and minds of every true believer.

I nonetheless see people who keep on with that concept, so it hasn't grow to be extinct, somebody reported it grow to be repackaged, however the belief in itself is all the fairly counts so people who keep on with the old deities nonetheless keep on with a similar deities, yet we've grown and so handle them as acquaintances (because of the fact the deities initially needed) fairly of "WORSHIP" them (because of the fact the old clergymen falsely insisted the deities demanded).
