we picked her up as a 6 week old puppy from a rescue foster home. The rescue mom thought she and her sis were lab/german shepherd pups. We assumed she was, but so many people have asked if she's a Rottweiler. Once she even slipped under our fence and 3 neighbors asked if "that Rottweiler puppy" was ours. It won't change our perception of her..she's almost 9 months now and 75 pounds, a TOTAL sweetie and we love her to death. I'm just wondering though, for curiosity's sake: is she a Rottie? What breed does she look like?
(btw, current pic not available..these were taken when she was younger)

Rotweiller and shepard mix. She is adorable. If she is a full rottie she will be very thick in the middle of her and all muscle not fat. If she is a mix she will most likely be much thiner in the middle/from the bottom of her neck to the top of her tail. Also look at pictures of Rotweillers look for things that don't quite match up like different ears or different tail then look and see which dogs have those kinds of ears or whatever part.

Looks like a rotti mix to me.
My best guess would be rotti/shepherd mix.
I say shepherd with it because of the first picture...now that shes older the shape of her face...and it looks like the ears MAY try to stand up a little after shes matured more.

You know, depending on how the genes mixed, I wonder if there would be much difference in looks between a Rottie mix and a lab/GSD mix...

BUT I would bet on Rottie mix in your puppy's case for this reason: she's very short-haired and both labs and GSDs tend toward thicker double coats.

Although it is hard to tell a German Shepard (true GS) from a German Rottie, I would say that your puppy is a Rottie. I say this because she is slightly more stocky and blockheaded than a typical GS.

Regardless of what breed she is, I hope she warms your heart and home just the same!!!

Good luck to your family!

Definitely Rottweiler... possibly some Lab in her too. I have a dog that looks almost exactly like her. His father was a Rot and mother a Black lab.
