I'm not quite sure exactly what you mean here. Perhaps try re-wording the question or presenting a case pertaining to what you're trying to ask.
See, my problem here is that in reading the question logically as a full sentence (which is perhaps my problem here) is that he's kind of saying there are psychologists out there, who are studying themselves (as in their actual person and not in like a self taught way) to such an extreme that they attain degrees because of it. That's how the wording comes off to me. And if that is the case, that is absolutely absurd. But, there is also a difference between psychologists, psychiatrists and therapists. So to know which this person actually means is the other conflagarating point.

I found that most are a little nuts, and that is from a lot of experience, but it isn't from studying. I used to be married to one. Don'r make that mistake!
Most people with advanced degrees have to study a lot, especially in the medical field. It is a never ending process.
A true Psy.D (Doctorate in Psychology) is different from a Ph.D as Psy.D.s usually administer the tests. Psychiatrist Md's do not!

No. Psychologists often do have a quest out of their experiences - relationships -and dilemma out of their own life.
That does not make them "nuts". It does mean that they are ordinary people, like the rest of us. Their quest for answers speaks to their sensitivity and inquisitive nature and a drive to seek solutions for the very interesting or troubled people they meet, in order that their lives may be less encumbered and their relationships with others more productive.

That is a question that is either intended to be funny, but isn't, or displays profound ignorance on your part. Not clever or funny, and a waste of everyone's time.
