OK... so you believe that a cosmic Jewish zombie, who is his own father, can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him that you accept him as your master so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced, by a talking snake with legs, to eat a piece of fruit from a magical tree... (etc.)... and that there is something horribly wrong with people who ARE NOT so gullible and droolingly stupid as to believe such outrageously ridiculous codswallop.
Do ya know what?... that's insane.

That's not a "hole in atheist logic", it's just a people who are crybabies and can't take what they give. Make no mistake, this is in no way limited to atheists, there are people of this type from every type of belief, etc.
As for you wanting us to be "closer to Jesus", first I'm quite happy with my sanity thank you, and second you should probably try to clean up the hypocrisy inherent within Christianity before you criticise anyone else.

The atheists who post bad things about Christianity don't necessarily represent the entire atheist community...
And atheists are concerned for Christians because we want them to see the truth. We want them to stop believing in mythology because we know it will make them a better people, because we know that only through the realization that these myths are absurd can they truly be free to think for them selves.
We are trying to help you.

I think can I decide my own salvation on my own terms, thank you very much . I do hope more and more people realize that they are their own teacher and savior, Looking outside of your-SELF for answers only hinders spiritual progress.
People who say Jesus is the only son of God are completely in the dark. You do know don't you that Jesus fully identified with the Christ-spirit and never refered to Himself as Jesus. - but most christians that knew this were stoned to death by the 14th century. Jesus and Buddha takes us on the same path but through different means. There are parellels of transformations using he Holy Spirit in the gospel of Buddha. Buddha also shared his story of a prodigal son higher than himself- coincidence, I think not!!
If nothing else, try to look at the lives of dozens and dozens if not hundreds of sages from other religions and even within christianity who are said to have resurrected long before Jesus ever came along. St. Rose, St. Patrick, Catherine of Assisi, St. Xavier, and many others wrote about raising people from the dead in their own experience. In the bible, Jesus taught John to raise Lazarus from the dead...and he did. Lazarus further went on to do the same with others. What Jesus can do, we can do and more.

Perhaps you misinterpret correcting logical errors or providing information that you don't like as atheists getting "upset." The fact is, humans created gods, which is why they always resemble the cultures in which they were created.
Jesus is simply one in a long line of fictional god-men. Most of Jesus' attributes and teachings were "borrowed" from older myths and philosophies.

Did a historical Jesus exist?
http://www.nobeliefs.com/exist.htm
ALL CLAIMS OF JESUS DERIVE FROM HEARSAY ACCOUNTS
No one has the slightest physical evidence to support a historical Jesus; no artifacts, dwelling, works of carpentry, or self-written manuscripts. All claims about Jesus derive from writings of other people. There occurs no contemporary Roman record that shows Pontius Pilate executing a man named Jesus. Devastating to historians, there occurs not a single contemporary writing that mentions Jesus. All documents about Jesus got written well after the life of the alleged Jesus from either: unknown authors, people who had never met an earthly Jesus, or from fraudulent, mythical or allegorical writings. Although one can argue that many of these writings come from fraud or interpolations, I will use the information and dates to show that even if these sources did not come from interpolations, they could still not serve as reliable evidence for a historical Jesus, simply because all sources derive from hearsay accounts.
Hearsay means information derived from other people rather than on a witness' own knowledge.
Courts of law do not generally allow hearsay as testimony, and nor does honest modern scholarship. Hearsay provides no proof or good evidence, and therefore, we should dismiss it.

Atheists also want you to see the truth. They want to help YOU.
They want to be sure that you don't waste your life chasing the fantasy of an invisible god. And they want to make sure you do not harm others by forcing moral rules on them derived from dogma based on that fantasy.
For instance, in a UK poll, 37% of Muslims believed it was right to execute apostates, and that this is taught in the Quran. To an atheist this is so immoral as to be almost unbelievable - the truth would set us free from this kind of thinking,

It's a two way street John. I am a Christian and I have noticed that just as many Christians are rude and demeaning to Atheist as they are to us. The only real problem I have in dealing with an atheist is that they call us ignorant for our beliefs. I think that is shallow minded and wrong. I have come to the point though where I don't even let that bother me.

No. I think a more appropriate phrasing for your argument would be "atheist are hypocritical" not "there's a hole in atheist logic.." - even then i don't agree.
Thanks for your help, but i think your energy would be better spent helping fight poverty or something of that nature.

Did you ever consider that most atheists have already weighed the pros/cons to christianity vs atheism and concluded that there is no god? In other words go "save" somebody who wants jesus in their life.

No.
The "Christians" who think that Y!A is their private soapbox just make that assertion are just tired of having no good counter. These so-called Christians are just whining because they have no faith, and no morals. If they had morals, they wouldn't be stuck trying to prevent their preaching from violating Community Guidelines by typing the question, "Agree?", into their empty diatribes.
