Ever since I was 10, I have been significantly overweight (137 pounds at age 10). As I have gotten older, my weight has steadily gone up. I am now 21, 6'1", and weigh 310 pounds. I just really want to know, even though I have never really had any health problems regarding my weight (aside from the fact that I am more than 100 pounds overweight), am I in any immediate danger of health problems?

Yes, at your age, you can easily develope diabetes and hypertension. Very young overweight and obese children are being diagnosed with heart disease that historically would have been seen only in older adults. Many overweight and obese teenagers are on medication for high blood pressure, blood sugar and/or blood fats.
