Your doctor can put some fluorescein in your eye and examine it in a darkened room, using ultraviolet light and a loupe or other magnifier. This would be to rule out a scratch on the cornea. It's possible that a fragment of hair is stuck on the inner surface of the eyelid. I usually put an anesthetic drop in the eye, wait a few minutes, then evert the lid to check the tarsal plate.

With pain in the inner corner, I wonder if a hair is clogging one of the tear ducts. I saw this only rarely.

Take some ibuprofen or the like. Looks like maybe you scratched your eyeball. It's a very sensitive area. What you want to be careful is scratching your cornea which can lead to an infection which requires antibiotic drops. I'd so though that it will go away in a couple more days. Use some over the counter eye drops to lubricate the eye as well. If you are have change in vision, go see a medical provider.

If you don't see the hair when you look in the mirror then it is gone. The irritation is from the hair being in your eye as it may have scatched your cornea. Since it has been three days make a doc appointment to get your eye checked out.

You should go see your eye doctor if it is bothering you that much. You might have a scratch on your eye or an eye infection. Go in for a check eye.

there is no way a "hair" is still in your eye after 3 days.

it just FEELS like its in there b/c its inflamed.

1) stop rubbing it
2) stop trying to "remove" it...its not there
3) use cold compresses
4) no need to "flush". flushing works in the 1st 15 min, but after 3 days flushing doesnt help at all
5) use some OTC artificial tears
6) did i mention stop rubbing it? stop.

Go to a physician and have your eye checked. Should there be a hair there, find an attorney, and sue.
