I have been having this recurring dream for years now. Apparently I was failing two of my college classes (one of them is literature) because apparently i didnt know I was enrolled in those classes. obviously I didnt do the assignments or took exams. I dont realize that up until towards the end of the semester. That is when I wake up in panick...
what does that mean?
I already graduated from my graduate school four years ago...
what should i do to stop having these dreams?

Please help! Thank you!

Thank you everyone! You are all so helpful!
I had to start my life on my own in a foreign country alone since i was only 17 but i also tend to have high expectations of myself...

It sounds as though somewhere inside, you feel as though you are being held responsible for something that you didn't anticipate, or something that you *shouldn't* be held responsible for. It could be a lot of things, but given that the dream is about a college class (as opposed to high school or elementary), I'd think it might have to do with being responsible for something before you were ready for it. Things that come to mind are taking care of siblings when you were a child, or being a "parent" to one of your own parents because of something like an addiction, mental problems, etc. I don't know that those are correct, but I think you should probably think about your life and see if you can figure out what it is that you feel was thrust upon you unawares in the real world.

Good luck!

Maybe don't worry so much about "stopping" that dream; but if you can figure out the source of the dream, it won't bother you? (btw, found your question because I put a baffling dream out there myself)

I think dreams are combinations of three things:
1) what we want (Freud - a wish fulfilled)
2) what we fear - you're working out your anxieties and problem solving in your sub conscious state
3) things we have observed or heard

Maybe the dream is an outlet for worry about failing at something going on in your life right now? Are you doing something challenging or taking a risk? Maybe you are worried about being unaware of something important.

Could be you have a desire to excel and are concerned about obstacles to that.

Or, maybe you simply saw a movie about college students or heard people talking about failing a course, and it all comes together?

Just my humble guesses. Hope it gets better and you have some more pleasant dreams! Good luck.

Me, I dream that I am back in the military and have forgotten to wear my uniform. We worry that we are not doing that which is expected of us. You have high expectations of yourself but that comes with a price. Insecurity has to have an outlet and dreams are the place that lets it loose.

Sorry. Before I created Jesus, I attempted to create an incubus to move down and impregnate Mary, nevertheless it became out to be homosexual and now not interested. This is whilst I invented the Holy Spirit. Anyway, this incubus appears plenty like Jesus, so that is generally who you noticed, now not the truly Jesus.

It sounds like a fear of failure.... To stop having these dreams, don't put off doing things you would like to do, out of fear that you won't do it "right"......
