Okay..i've been seeing this guy for about a month. We have been on a ton of dates and I really like him. He invited me to go out of town with him to two very exciting events. His parents are going the same day that we are going. (He's 21 and I'm 19). So, his parents told him that they would get me a room so that we could all stay up there and maybe go out to eat. Well... a few days ago, he tells me that they didn't get another room. Now its going to be me, him, and his parents sleeping in the same hotel room and I have NEVER met them. They have gone through a lot of trouble.. but i'm horrified! am i overreacting?

the fact that you two are grown, should be the problem.

I am kinda with you on this one but there's no way out..I can only suggest to make the best of the situation and always consider the benefit of them first. They will probably test the waters and ask if you two would like a bed (you know how most rooms have 2 beds) I would suggest you say no and if they insist still say no. If he's a good guy he'll give up his bed. Like I mentioned before just make the best out of the situation I think It will turn out better than you think.! GOOD LUCK

You are already too smart for any "second hand treatment." Ask your parents or anyone that you are close to, about this upcoming trip. Then, if you still feel comfortable, you could go out with them. I personally would not like this sort of "too intimate" situation with the boy friend's parents. I think that if you let them get away with this one, you are in for a "lot of surprises." Some that you won't like. You will definitely have to "put your foot down" on this one. What shall we then say to these things? If GOD be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with BENEFITS, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. Peace, Love and God Bless.

Ur not overreacting, this is a bit weird!
But the parents could be doing this intentionally because they may want to get to know u before they allow him to sleep with u...
Just go along with it and be yourself, get along with them so the next time u go out with them or go to his place you will be able to have privacy with him in a separate room! : )

Call the hotel and reserve a room for yourself. That will show how them that you have moral values. Another option is tell him you can't go because of emergency you have to tend to.

I don't suppose it would be that horrifying if you'd spent time with thiem before, but you don't know who they are or anything!
maybe tell your boyfriend that you would prefer a room alone with him, no disrespect to his parents intended.

yes you are, if you like this guy and plan to be with him for any length of time, you will have to meet his parents eventually. Why not now? Just be nice to them and they will be nice to you. Plus free dinner, who can say thats bad?

I think its reasonable to be uncomfortable with the situation. But if you really like him and want to get along with his parents, you will be able to tough it out no matter how akward it is.
