i like this girl alot and she invited me to homecoming and i told my friend and he was actin all pathetic and finally i said fine whatever
so him and this other girl whos my friend are goin too

any ways she asked for me to go"as just as friends" i cant figure out if she was sayin it to not sound like she wanted to go out for
1. she doesnt like me that way
2. she doesnt know if i like her
3.please answer

im wondering if anyone might have been in this situation

so i need to know(if u have) what u think she ment she was scared to say it becuz
1.she doesnt like me or
2.becuz she was scared i mite not like her

She doesn't know you well enough. So she just wants to say that to play it safe. Relax, have a good time and get to know her.

so, i was totally on the other end of this, i was the girl. I asked an older guy not from my school to go "just as friends" but the truth was i TOTALLY liked him. so, i'd say go with her, have a good time as friends, and see if anything else comes from it. it's probably #2. try to give her some signs that you like her. oh, and if you do decide to turn her down, be very nice, it's SOOO hard to get up the courage for a GIRL to ask a GUY to HOMECOMING, when it's usually the other way around. Go and have fun first. See how things go. For all you know you may wind up not liking her. Or she'll wind up liking you if she didn't. Or feeling may become mutual no matter what that might be. Just have fun, have a good time. If you spend the whole night wondering, you're going to ruin any chances that might have been. THEN decide how you feel and what you want and should do. Good luck.

If she asked you to go with her to homecoming (whatever that means) I'm not American. Anyway she did say "AS FRIENDS" it kinda answers your Q doesn't it ?, maybe option 1 and 2. I say that she likes you, or she would not have asked you.
Remember all relationships start with friendship, and work into other relationships...be self confident, be patient and be a gentleman.

i think shes was scared YOU didn't like HER and didn't want to sound like she liked you in case u didnt like her anddidn't want you to say no cause you thought she liked you and you didn't feel the same about her. WOW if that made ANY sense at all. lol. it did in my head.
