I'm 21 and yes, i'm young but i felt like i've never accomplished anything "good" in my life both through my
"professional" (education/career) and "personal" (parties/bars) lives. I don't know it's b/c of the fact i graduated
from high school at 17 and that I haven't gotten into my major yet.
I'm striving to be a nurse but nursing school is just freakin competitive. I'm a nursing assistant, volunteer,
etc...I have my associate's degree YET i STILL haven't gotten in and it's beating me up inside. Also,
after my freshman year of college I decided to be "low key" - i didn't feel comfortable with the whole "group"
parties, bars, clubs, etc...getting into your "clique" and knowing "people that know people"...i just wanted
everything to be simple...hang out with few CLOSE friends and do simple things - movie, dinner, etc...
I know i sound like i prick...i'm aware of what a B I T C H it is hard getting into nursing and i've sacrificed
a hardcore social life but i feel like i'm missing out...i see my other friends and it seems that they have it both.
They can party and still go to school...why am i feeling this?

Everyone always feels like they waste there youth no matter what you succeed in I'm 47 and often wonder how I could have changed this, you are still only 21 so you have plenty of time and do you no they are screaming for nurses in Australia why don't you look into getting a work vista to get in and get a head start I know in Adelaide they can't get enough nurses have you finished studying nursing there are also change of career changes because you are still young enough to do what you want so go get it.good luck.

Don't be sad. You are only 13, still a kid. You can still go to amusement parks, you're never too old! Go with your parents/siblings and you will see that all ages can enjoy amusement parks. I know what you mean about having no one to do the fun things with. I'm the same, pretty much. Don't dwell on the bad factors of growing up, and don't sit in your own misery. Do you have siblings or cousins? Ask them if they can take you to an amusement park/anything fun. I heard that the fun really comes when you are at your college years. Sorry if this isn't much help, I'm only 14 myself and I sort of feel the same. Just don't waste your life feeling sad and dwelling on the past. Remind yourself what you have to be grateful for. Hope this is any help to you xx

you're young. sometimes it is frustrating when you meet the roadblocks in life. you should feel bad if you're 25 or 30 but you're so young so dont wry!
with the whole partying and drinking ****...dont do it if you're not comfortable with it. do what makes you happy. you're old enough to realise that comforming to what other ppl do doesnt do ****.
"I see my other friends and it seems that they have it both." well grass is always greener on the other side of the fence....and they could be doing something easier that wont pay off as well later in life.
be patient. you have much time ahead of you. all the successful people i look up to didnt do everything by the time they were 30...

first of all chill out. im 20 i live on my parents property and NEVER go to parties as i think drinking to get drunk is a waste of time. life is what you want it to be. mines boring to most but good for me i have accomplished little in most peoples eyes. but why rush destiny is as it is and i'll get there when i get there. i don't need to not remember last night to have a good time. if you want to make your life a success then do what you would do if tomorrow wasn't an option. at the end nothing is wasted if you have done what you can to make today great. after all that's all there is. Carpe diem.

Sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders. You should be proud of what you have done. The odd party wont hurt anyone. if your not a ppl person invite your closest friends and watch a movie or something. Go old school and have a slumber party lol

You're a TOP contributor with an attitude like that?????
HONEY,,,,,,,PLEASE,,,,,realize that what you are wanting to do is something that can help and change the lives of so many people. Not to mention that a nurse nowadays can make as much if not more than a lot of doctors, their knowledge is closely related.YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE!PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP!!!!

yep u re missing everything, and normal people together with partying and having fun are coming to their master degree at this age. and it is not only hard to get into nursing, it is hard to get anywhere. decent i mean. what, u think if u want to become a lawer it is easier than to become a nurse? and still billions of people manage to become lawers, doctors, bankers and they have time to party. u party while u re young. for instance i am 37 with master degree and everything, but i just got so bored with partying, it is not so reckless and funny as when u re young. now i should think about damage alchohol is doing to my body, about how would my face look if i don't sleep enough and how i will be able to go to gym the next day if i party too long. so enjoy life while u re young. when u re older u will have other enjoyments

ask yourself what do you really want, nursing pays well but is it your real passion?
or have you lived your life for the money?
or for the passion
have you taken up the course that no matter what happens would always interest you, if you cannot answer this then you truly have wasted your life
but the good thing here is you still have possibilities and choices to make, do it.

Some of the most interesting people I know still don't know what they want to be at 50....
Compare not your accomplishments with others, but whether you are happy with what you ahve accomplished.
