A lot of people said that to me now and I feel like I've been raised 18 years everyday of my life that a girl shouldn't make first move because it makes her seem cheap and the guy will take advantage of her, and now suddenly I have to change that? Why can't the men just man up? I mean what's the point of random people say I'm pretty and beautiful when I can't even get a bf? Is there any other way other than making first move?

I'm totally with you -- raised in the same sort of social-norm environment.
You don't have to make the first move, and probably shouldn't.
But that doesn't mean you don't have to be helpful, polite, and kind to all people -- whether men, women, children, or the elderly. Always be polite and smile. Be an equal-opportunity /lady/ to all.
You don't have to listen to these other people who say women should be aggressive in the sense you described. I think it's batty, too. And the social pendulum will swing back soon enough, in a few years or decades, once people realize things are a bit askew.
Just go with what's classic, time-tested, and true.

you don't have to be obvious that you are making the move (baiting the sucker or prey).
what you do when you decide on a subject, smile at the prey. say hi how are you etc. strike up a conversation. always use a good ploy. you don't want him to know that you have decided he is going to hold your attention.
once your quarry become interested, you just give him the opportunity to take things step by step. soon he will become embolden and feel more confident. likely he will ask for your number.
as you will soon find out, most males are really not that sharp. he might begin to walk away and not ask for your number. at this point all you have to say is..... i really enjoyed talking with you and it would be nice to speak with you again. just let me know when you would like to talk again. boom that's it.
if he is not totally daft, he will ask for your number.
or next time he sees you he will come running.
you can also position yourself so that he will see you.
one thing, you want to make sure the prey does not have a girlfriend or is married.
so with the above technique, you can make a move without the guy know that you are making a move on him.
you just manage the encounter to let him move on you.

You can just be a really nice and friendly person with a great smile....let the guys come to you! Anyone you get the wrong way will end up not treating you the way you need to be treated. Read the book......"He's just not that into you!" There is a wealth of knowledge dealing with the reason a lady should let a man enjoy the chase of attaining the woman he wants.

If your purpose is all about getting a bf, then you are selling yourself cheap by making a first move
there is no logic on who makes the first move or 2nd move.
The best way to find a suitable bf is to make friends. It will come naturally and nobody makes any move and it will just happened!

Sometimes men are afraid to ask a date of beautiful and pretty girls for fear of rejection. I suggest you strike a conversation first and that will show your are not hard to approach. Smile a lot when you walk by a man.

you have no idea how hard it is to go up to a beautiful girl you like and start a conversation out of nothing. i find it somewhat attractive when a girl makes the first move. i dont think it makes you seem cheap or anything.

That is all stereotypes and DONT let yourself be apart of that. Make the first move, that just shows that you are that much more confident then all those "other girls".

One possible thing is you move too much.
Give guys a chance to come up to you, by hanging out in certain areas that won't be too hard for us to talk to you.

all you need to do is show your fashion, talky flirty, look good ..ah mean maybe those guiys out there are just tryin' na lie that you pretty...buh just try to look good...and take some pictures!
