Ok I used to believe all the hype about global warming, but now i'm starting to question it! it's only the middle of September and there are some days when i'm ready to turn the heat on already! What do you think? Does global warming really exist, or is it all hype?

If there is global warming then there will be more space at the beach anyway, so dont worry too much.

It's easier to understand and believe in something one can see in person of course. However, global warming is just that - GLOBAL. Just like different years can experience both hotter and colder years, so can different areas despite of global warming.

When it comes to global warming you cannot determine if it exists or not by looking at local conditions regardless if weather is colder or hotter than usual. You have to look for statistics on a global (and longer) scale. Another significant sign for global warming is the glacial ices which is melting in a scary rate all over the world.

Edit: To crazyfakar below:
If the sea levels rises because of global warming there will be LESS space at the beaches. Some beaches may even vanish completely.

Don't get fooled by simpletons who use "this is the hottest summer ever" crap. No-one has been alive long enough to be able to truly compare.
You need to be able to look at the climate, rather than seasonal weather patterns.
Global warming looks at a rise in the overall average temps, often in a range significantly less than 1 degree.
Having a bad heat wave is not a sign of global warming, generally no-one would even be able to tell the difference over a whole season.
The best answer to your last question is.... don't know.

My father has lived through this before. If you go back research TIME magazine and NEWSWEEK you will see how they predicted an ice age in the 70's. It got so cold here in the south that you could actually walk accross the rivers here. Summer's were kinda chilly. So as you can see nothing happened. So it's safe to say Global Warmingis not real. Its just a bunch of hype.

I live in NC and right now it should be in the high 80's and it's in the lower 60's. So there is your answer.

I agree with you!!

Take care!!!

Global warming exist to the extent where people can use the excuse to take more of your money.

All of Earths warming is caused by the Sun. The Sun's output is never constant and now it's a little hotter.

Man can do nothing to effect something as huge as the climate.

I think global warming is a real deal. It may not have an impact now but may develop as time goes on. I think people aren't keeping aware of it as much as they should because the future may be impacted by this situation. I think you shouldn't worry about it as some people like me are fighting to prevent it but should stay aware because it is most definitely concerning you and everyone else in the world.
