I know they're a bit out of the ordinary but I think they're adorable!

Anyone know around how much they cost and/or how long they last? I heard a couple of weeks but I'm not sure.

OUCH! Looks really pretty but I couldn't put myself through that for only a couple of weeks. They're mainly done for artists portfolio's and taken out soon after to minimize the scarring and infection risk.

Go have a look at this link before you consider it :)-http://www.bmezine.com/news/pubring/20050417.html

Price wise-Average $105 for 6 piercings -http://media.www.independentcollegian.com/media/storage/paper678/news/2007/05/14/ArtsLife/A.New.Trend.In.Piercing-2902720.shtml

I saw a couple of excellent answers here :) Props to Cassie T and the poster beneath her

Everyone's got a different opinion on piercings, but I like them so... I think corset piercings are neat. I wouldn't do it myself - too high risk of rejection/scarring, and my body has a hard enough time healing just my earlobe piercings.

Like someone previously said, you could manage to keep them for a while if you took great care of them and used proper jewelry. I've heard great things about tygon (I've not ever seen it though so I'm not sure how it would work in corset piercings), dermal anchoring would probably be good too :)

A friend of mine had this done, and it normally is only done as play piercing I believe.

Mine cost me 200 cause it's my first play piercing session and I had to pay for all the rings. A good piercer will not let you leave with them in because they will not heal and will start to reject the next day in most cases. The only way they have a chance is with surface bars. Check out bmezine.com for more info. They have a lot of articles about corset piercings and surface piercings.
I kept mine for about an hour. I loved them and they didn't hurt. It was amazing! 20 piercings total, 10 down each arm. I included my piercers myspace link. The corset pics are there and I'm also wing scars.

My opinion on it is that the shorter ones look nicer. (the second pic)

I would never get it done. I'll pierce everything else, but I've seen a LOT of pics of these. And I think soon if not already, it's gonna go out of style.

So if I was getting it done. I'd make sure it was only temporary and take tons of sexy photographs with it.

Most corset piercings are done with CBR's, or play piercing needles, as a temporary (as in, take pictures, and then take 'em out) play piercing.

However, they CAN be done in such a way that they could last forever. This requires either surface piercings or dermal anchors.

I'm unsure of the cost, though.

I love corset piercings.
The rubbish thing about them is that the piercing rejects really quickly :(
I'm not sure how much they cost, but they are definitely NOT cheap and take alot of looking after!!

I think there interesting, at first when I only saw one chick with it I thought it was an individual thing but more and more people are getting them, there was one chick I saw that had it and she didnt have to pay but thats because it was a promo for a piercing studio, and even then she could only keep it in for a couple of hours other wise they start to rip I think, I think the pricing in it would be between 500$ and up to $3000, but you have to think about taking care of them and everything, you wouldnt be able to wear a bra for a while because of were the piercings are situated and even when you can wear one they would rub against it, I think there nice for promo shots but not as long lasting piercings

I like to think of myself as prety open minded when it comes to piercings but for the life of me I really don't understand the point of this. If you wanna wear a corset then wear one.. why do you have to punch holes in your skin to put a ribbon thru the rings? I just dont get it sorry. But if you like it then hey go for it.

I love corset piercings, I think they look fabulous, I like them because they're out of the ordinary.

I'd suggest anyone who feels queasy looking at this should never check out BME's extreme section, this is very tame in comparison.

They are real cute, but I would think that would be painful and could get infected really easily. They leave nasty ugly scars. It says they dont usuallly last more than a week. I would suggest getting a real corset, or maybe even a tattoo like one. It would be better in the long run.
