My bf and I have been together 5 months, he has asked me to meet his parents for dinner next week and also invited me away with him and friends to a huge party for 2 nights over new years.. Does this sound like his serious about me or not necessarily?

It sounds serious to me.. why else would he want you to meet his parents? And better yet, why would he have spent 5 months with you if he didn't see a future with you?

Lets put it this way- meet the parents is serious. Inviting you for a New Year's Bash- Darling can't you see he's planning for the future with you?

Unless he's a liar and he hired some folks to say they are his parents or he'd use his parents like ho's I'd say he's pretty dern serious. ;)

Sounds very serious to me. I wouldn't invite a girl to do those things if I weren't. If you had dinner with his parents right after you met him it's no big deal, but if he waited this long it is obviously a step he considers to be huge. And you don't want to spend two days with anyone you don't like, even if your drunk. You've got youself a relationship. My advice...run like hell. Just kidding. Good luck.

It sounds as if he really likes you, but it may be too soon to be serious, if you are talking about a future with him. It takes time to learn enough about a person to make that kind of commitment. You are definitely headed in the right direction though.

DEFINITELY.

My brother has had girlfriends before but he never introduced them to us except for the last one. Although they've only been together for less than a year then, we knew he was serious because he let her meet the our family.
And guess what? They just got married!

If he wants you to meet his parents he's serious. Would you invite him to meet YOUR parents if it wasn't?
