Try a bento-box style lunch: rice, pickled veggies/salad tossed in a vinegar-based dressing, hard-boiled eggs and small sausages or a protein that would carry well without refrigeration.

Hi Chelle, here are some ideas:
Macaroni & cheese
Any pasta salad
Tuna salad (with sweetcorn & mayo)
Quiche
Yo can buy sliced cheese, ham & cookies
All kind of fruit
Goat cheese with tomato & shrimp (there are many recipes to prepare this, it won't take long if you don't fancy shrimp you can have just the tomatoe & cheese)
Nachos (tortilla chips, cheddar cheese, cream, onion)
Tuna steak in a leaf salad
Cous cous
Guacamole with tortilla chips
Humus with Pita bread
sushi rolls
Paninis
Chicken salad (mixed with any ingredients you fancy)
Bon apetit!

How about a hearty salad.
I make one with spring mix, romaine, apples, mandarin oranges, gorgonzola cheese, toasted nuts (almonds/pecans), chicken and a miso salad dressing.
But you can experiment with a lot of different things - cherries, tomatoes, other cheeses & dressings... The list is endless. The key is to have the flavors go together and the chicken gives it a little protein.

Hmm not much to choose from but here is a few ideas - Dairylee Lunchables, cheesestrings, pasta salad or you could take some soup in a flask so it will still be warm by the time lunchtime comes.
