Ideally I've always wanted 6, but I've decided to settle for 2 or 3 at a time (I'm a foster mum) while I'm single! That's enough to have on my own I think, lol.

I would ideally like 2 children preferably a girl and a boy and the girl being the oldest. I woudnt settle for less than 2 as I dont want to have an only child.

Until we had kids, my hubby and I wanted 5. We have 2 now, and were are quite content with them. We would certianly welcome a surprise child, but we are not trying for any more kiddos.

The general idea of having children needs to be adressed before marriage. The number needs to be discussed as well, but that needs to be left open. My philosophy is that if one parent thinks there are enough children in the family, then that needs to be respected. I would never dream of trying to sneak a conception past my husband if he already felt we had enough children! The "no" wins.

BTW, he sort of wants another child. I do not, at this time. Our hands are full, both psychologically and economically, with the children we have. Lucky for me, I am the woman, so I have more control over birth control. Still, were our positions reversed, I would not get pregnant intentionally without his OK. It takes a mom and a dad to parent a child. Both parents should want said child. there have been times in the past year when having another baby seemed like a good idea to me. I did not stop my contraceptives just because I had a whim. That is not fair to my husband.

I do not have any children right now. Idealisticly I would like 3 children. 2 male and 1 female or 1 male and 2 female, any combination works. I would like for atleast one of each and I wouldn't mind a male to be the oldest. I would not be settling on any amount. I will love my kids, no matter how many I have. It really needs to be something my spouse (when i'm ready) and I talk about.

I am pregnant with my 7th child. I also have a stepson. After this baby I would like one more (I'd like another boy and a girl) and when my children start to get a bit older I would also like to adopt a child from one of china's orphanages. I cannot imagine never wanting to have young children to care for.

My intentions are also to foster when I am older (if I have any room left in my house!) Our first 6 children are all growing up now and several go to work (one has even left home)

Before anybody comments, we run a very successful family business and do not rely on benefits.

I want at the least 6 kids. Probably between 6 and 10. I have always wanted to be a stay at home mom with lots of kids. When I was 12, I told my mom, aunt, and grandma how many kids I want, and they told me I would never find a husband that would want that many. Well I did, and I am now 5 1/2 months pregnant with our first child, a little girl. Have a great day!!!

I only have one child, a son which i am so happy to just have.
I have miscarried in the past and i feel like my son was is the only one i am suppose to have. Even though he is 6 years old and i am just 27 years old, knowing i still have plenty of time to possibly have more kids i believe that i just want the one i have.
I am not settling, i am proud to have what i do have.

Ideally I would like to have enough kids to make a soccer team. Boys or girls it doesn't matter. 15 would be awesome. But realistically I know that no woman would ever want to spit 15 kids out of her birth canal. So I suppose 4 would be all right.
