I am 16 and my boyfriend just turned 21. I have been with him for three years and known him all of my life, so don't think that this relationship is just for sex. Anyways, I want to know if it is illegal or legal for us to have sex. Many people say yes and many say no.. I want the truth and I need proof. I've been trying to look it up but I cant find anything. Will someone please help me? I would really appreciate it! I will help you if you help me!

Don't tell anyone if you do. But yes it is illegal. You have to both be over or under the age of 18. But once you're over 18 the rules get easier. You only have to be over 18. Whereas the rules of teenager sex is very complicated. Like if you are 15 you can only have sex with 14-17 year olds or something like that. Too many rules but anyway it is illegal but if you don't tell anyone then you are okay. But NEVER tell anyone if you do it.

Don't have the proof and don't know your state or country. But here in the US its more than a little obvious that for some states that the legal age of consent is 16. And that is only for dating no sexual stuff until 18 the official adult age. If you have sex now in a state or part of the US where that is not acceptable your boyfriend will go to jail for sure.

18 is the official age of consent. But a few states say 16.
To be safe, wait the two years. If he really loves you he can wait two years until you're officially legal.
Or would you prefer him being arrested, and put on the sex offenders list.

It depends on where you live. I live in Ohio and the age of consent is 16. Go to www.ageofconsent.com. It has the ages from around the world. I also looked at www.avert.org/aofconsent.htm That one gave a lot of countries and each of the states in the US.

IT honestly depends where you are...16 is the age of consent in many places....but it can range to 18...my link will give you the ages on a state by state basis

in most states the legal consent age is 17, but with parental consent any age is okay, so if your parents are cool with you haveing sex with that guy then its legal... and if they are not then they could have him put in jail... so now you need to answer that question.
i would day that him dating you with such a large age gap makes him a really big loser... i mean if he is 21 one why is he hanging out with you, no offense, but wow what a loser., can he not get a girl his own age.
