ok when i was younger (baby-2nd grade) my hair was really straight and shiny. now my hair is dry and semi curly. is it possible my hair "changed" or is it just damaged because i damaged my hair by not drying my hair after showers and letting it dry super wet. but im not sure if damaging your hair can change its texture. well thanks!!

Put olive oil on your hair and put on a plastic cap.

Wash as usual, you will see a difference.

It is not damaged because air drying

too many hair care products or blow-drying could cause damage as well as the sun, wind and the pollutants in the environment

Most of us have fine hair when we were babies..that's the time when our hair is still young and healthy..Air drying shouldn't damage your hair..it's probably something else. When hair is damaged, it might be coarse and turns a little curly. You will need to use moisturising shampoo and conditioner and not to forget to use hair treatment twice a week. and trim it every month..it might be a lot of work but it's worth it..

when you are a baby and small child your hair has no medulla( the center part of the hair shaft) as you mature and reach puberty it changes and the texture usually changes to a coarser texture. you have not damaged it if you are letting it air dry, it would become damaged from the heat implements

As women age, our chemical balances change, our hair is affected by our estrogen and testosterone (hormone) levels changing. So your hair is just reflecting your hormonal changes.
Generally you will see your hair change as you hit puberty, level out around adulthood, again in pregnancy, after pregnancy and then during menopause.
So most likely this is just hormones and not any damage!

No shaving your head wont change it back

drying the hair by itself never spoils it.. dryers are bad for hair...the way you maintain your hair, diet you take, stress everything show direct effect on the hair...
when you shampoo.. apply lots of conditioner and let it stay for sometime like 5-7minutes... then wash off.. this gives the hair mice smooth and silky texture.. try it out... must help you

Soak you hair in conditioner at night once a week and put on a cap. Wash it out the next morning and it should stay super smooth all week!

Letting it air dry wouldn't damage it, Blow drying it WOULD. Um, you can make it soft by straightening it with a flat iron. (that's what i do.) =) Good luck

YOUR HAIR CAN CHANGE OVER YRS. YES. YOU NEED TO DEEP CONDITION YOUR HAIR, WHICH MEANS YOU SHOULD LEAVE IT ON FOR SOME HRS. ALSO TRY PAUL MITCHELL PRODCTS, THEY ARE REALLY GOOD AT CHANGING FROM CURLY TO STRAIGHT STYLES.
