I'm probably just not thinking...
but in August... it's coldish in Germany, yes?

It's still warm in Germany in August....but, just like anywhere else, there can be a cold spell. My husband was in the military and we lived in Germany for 5 years. The first Year we were there, it was freezing in August...like in the 40's. The next year it was hot. But overall, it would probably be in the 70's or low 80's....depends on which part of Germany...northern or southern.

August is still pretty much a summer month over here, but you should have a jacket when you are sitting outside a café at night because once the sun is gone, it does get chilly. This year, summer ended very abruptly, we're only half way though September, but we had sub-zero temperatures in my home town last night. Just below zero, but still.

I was in Germany for two years and it was usually cold both summers. It was surprising when it got warm and the Germans were quick to take advantage and they tanned quickly.
