able to rise above your fears, insecurities, and selfish desires at a young age (lets say 17, and many others haven't or will never get there?

For example, this is something that I wrote recently:

I don't think my mom was a good parent, but I...

love her. It's just that I understand that she has gone through some though stuff , and despite her efforts, she is still blind in certain ways. It's so weird, because I used to be so mad at her for not being there for me emotionally--but I totally forgive her and want her to feel loved like she deserves. I mean people are flawed, and they're not perfect--but somehow, it's our responsibility to rise past that and love wholeheartedly despite every else. You know... it is pain that guides us to try to understand and eventually build up our wisdom to a point where all we see in ourselves is love. It is then that it doesn't matter that the person hurt us, because we're above it. The truth is that everyone deserves to be loved despite imperfections and flaws.

At this point, it's no longer about me.

Well, at say 17, you're still far to young to really know what you will think or how you will feel when you get to, let's say, 40.

What u do is pat ur self on the back and applaud ur self for being so mature at that age, cause many people, like u said, arent or will never be. There should be more people like you.Everyone deserves a second chance.

Just realize that at the top of that mountain you will be able to see, through the thick fog, the next mountain to climb.

If you are only 17 don't imagine for a moment that you have achieved Enlightenment. You have decades and decades of more work to do.

But good luck

You live life happily, what is this question about? When you get over all of that teenage crap, you are an adult. Live your life and do your best to be a good person.

There will always be blind people, whether literally or figuratively, there will always be blind people. There is nothing you can do but focus on what they CAN see. Stay positive.

if u are able to do this at a young age this means u are a VERY special person. And that you are probably here to help other people do the same as u have done. Everyone is here for a purpose.

Many are called but few are chosen.

Good! Praise the Lord for blessing you with these gifts. However, remember that this is probably only a temporary state, and you will most likely soon hit another hard time. Remember that God is there to protect you and answer your prayers; my advice is to keep praying!

I praise GOD that he loved me enough to die for me in my sick wretched state. I love others because they are me.
You will find that everyone on this planet can do something better then you and I can. That means we are no better then anyone else. What a wonderful motley crew we humans are.

That's what I do. I praise GOD for allowing me to experience life and the lives of those around me.

Thats good. You realize that Life is about pleasing others, and feeling good about yourself. Some people don't realize this yet, and for them, it will take time. You matured right at the same age when I did in high school.

I know you probably don't want to hear this, but it takes an even greater level of maturity to be able to not be bothered by those who are below your maturity level. You'll get there, God's got you, don't worry.
