how come Jehovah's witnesses are the only religious group that uses gods name without hesitation?

Perhaps it is because they feel the same depth of love and respect for God's name that both God and Jesus feel. It is curious that although the name Jehovah appears in the King James Version and in other Bibles, there are those who prefer to pretend that Jehovah's Witnesses invented it.

It is curious that those who insist the pronunciation is Yahweh still refuse to use it.

It is curious that although the Tetragrammaton appeared almost 7,000 times in the Hebrew scriptures, which pointedly attests to its importance in God's eyes, most deny this importance.

It is curious that although people claim that God has many names, it is God who stated, at Exodus 3:15, that Jehovah (or Yahweh) is his name forever and his memorial.

It is curious that although many feel this name is unimportant, God stated some 69 times in the book of Ezekiel alone that people would "have to know that I am Jehovah."

It is curious that although people feel this name is unimportant, God stated at Exodus 9:16 that the only reason Pharaoh was still walking around alive was because God intended to have his Name declared in all the earth.

It is curious that although Joshua 2:10-11 reports that the mighty name of Jehovah had resounded so much that the hearts of pagans began to melt, people continue to insist that God's name is unimportant.

It is curious that this name so resounded among the nations that, according to 1 Kings 10:1, the reason the queen of Sheba heard about Solomon was "in connection with the name of Jehovah."

It is curious that although Bible translators have removed God's own name from His book, if the name Jesus were removed, people would denounce it as despicable.

It is curious that this name is so important that it appears in connection with the first request of the Lord's Prayer: "Our father in the heavens, let YOUR name be sanctified." Matthew 6:9

Perhaps Jehovah's Witnesses do not hesitate to use the name because they follow the example of their Lord, Jesus Christ who, according to John 17:6 and John 17:26, made his father's name know. Jehovah's Witnesses love the true God Jehovah and all that for which his name stands. That is why they do not hesitate to use it.

That's one of the many reasons I became a Jehovah's Witness. Jesus made his Fathers name known, why shouldn't we do the same.

It's sad because I notice that people that believe in the trinity shy away from using Jehovah's name and put all emphasis on Jesus name. Would Jesus be pleased that they ignore his Father? Jesus taught us in the Lords prayer to let his Fathers name be sanctified, let his will be done on earth how it is in heaven.

Satan loves it when people refuse to use God's name in Hebrew, English, or in any other language.
The trinity teaching hides the true identity of God Almighty Jehovah God.

Why do they think they know what it is?! I no longer believe that God had the Bible 'channeled'. I also no longer believe in a judgmental God.

It's also been proven that cults, if the JW's are one, use the method of exclusive terms and special lingo to seperate members from non-members; to feel they are a part of something special and exclusive. From my experience, the Jehovah's Witnesses not only use the name of God, but hundreds of other exclusive words and terms that only a Witness would recognize - they have their own religious langauge of sorts.

I wholeheartedly believe that the majority of members have the right 'heart condition' - I however cannot say I say the same for the Governing Body who rules over the districts and congregations; or even the majority of elders once they've been 'in' for a couple of years.

You alone are the Most High over all the earth.
many religious groups dont use jehovahs name cause they dont know it as jehovah and because its also taken out of the bibles that they use.

They only use Yahweh or Jehovah from one period of time they have deemed to be THE one. God isn't that persnickety, though it's ok with Him if they want to do that. The highest interpretation of God, and God is a fine name, is the conceptual idea of a Heavenly Father: The First Source and Center, The One True Uncaused Cause Who loves us all and His Name is God, and His name is many, for he is Universal, Infinite and Eternal. His love knows no bounds and therefore He allows all his creatures to name him affectionately.

LOL...I don't see that, sorry. I am not JW, and I speak about God in real life the same as here without hesitation, because, well, He's a BIG part of my life...my Father for 52 years...and, to deny Him that would be like sticking the lance in His Son's side again, and, that is something I cannot face doing.

We aren't the Only religious group that does. We do it because of our reverence and appreciation for Him, some that don't use his name don't out there own feelings of reverence.

--We love him a lot , and have the highest respect for his unique personage, which is emphasized by his unique name!

--WE FOLLOW the divine admonition that Christ gave his disciples that they carry through in practicing making known the divine name as he prayed "hallowed be thy name"

--THUS KING DAVID found great pleasure in showing not only love for God , but for his magnificent name Jehovah:

(Psalm 5:11-12) “11 But all those taking refuge in you will rejoice; To time indefinite they will cry out joyfully. ...... And those will exult in you. --ONE CANNOT love God or Christ Jesus if one does not honor & lovethe most unique name Jehovah or Yahweh & the personage behind it!

--All the true prophets of God & especially Christ loved the divine name Jehovah Or Yahweh properly represented by the consonants JHVH & YHWH

--THE CONTEMPT that those claiming to follow Christ, for the name he always honored , blessed, and properly represented , is certainly not going unnoticed by the Almighty God & his Prince of Peace , Christ

You do know that Jehovah is just another euphemism right? That it isn't any different from saying God, Lord, or G-d?
If you keep banning every euphemism, you end up banning a new set every few years. Take a look at how Yahoo's software makes it difficult to talk about agriculture by banning cock and ****. Both just euphemisms.
