i cannot even believe that you are trying to use the fact that your mom has cancer to get a star on yahoo.

can i ask - what will a star do for you??? when you have a loving mother - who is still with you - who can be fighting/treated for cancer..
Yes - finding out a parent has cancer can be a shock - that you react in different ways - BUT please..
When i found out that my Mum was diagnosied with cancer - all i wanted to do was be with her - hold her (i lived interstate) and then when my father told me 1mth later that he had cancer - i felt my world fall in - BUT i didn't jump onto a computer and ask for members to Give me a STAR to make me feel better..
Stop and have a look at yourself - look at your parents and siblings(if you have any) and think about them and how they are feeling - BET they aren't asking for a lousy star...
