Not without an ultrasound and even then, it would be questionable. Usually we say you can see a heart beat about 6 weeks after the first day of the last period (4 weeks after conception) You can't reliably expect to hear a heartbeat with a doppler microphone until about 12 weeks (10wks after conception). We usually count a pregnancy as 40 wks starting on the first day of the last period.

Heart begins to beat around the 4th week and I can detect it using doppler on an ultrasound machine....

You won't be able to detect it with a hand held doppler that early...

Not until 5th week does the heart start beating. Even at this stage it is too hard to hear w/ doppler. Check out more at the website below.

At four weeks the heart should not be beating yet. At six to seven weeks the heart begins to beat.
