You'll get answers like "I have a masters degree and I don't believe in evolution". Disregard them, they are all lies. It's called Pious Fraud and christians indulge in it every day.

Brian above me summed it up nicely "I believe in Evolution but not in Evolution".
Honestly, I feel nothing but pity for people who are this poorly educated.

Edge is another kind. Basically he's saying "it's too complicated for me to understand, so it can't be true".
*shakes head*

Why would anyone decently educated swear by evolution when it has been proven yet? It is a theory. There was once a theory that the atom was the smallest thing to exist and then someone split it and all kinds of stuff came pouring out.

If you were truly educated shouldnt you be looking at the fact that there is sooooooooooooo much we still dont know about science and nature and be open to the flaws of evolution and consider that maybe there could have been another way, even if you dont believe in creation.

The decently educated would acknowledge that species evolution has some major flaws in it that still havent been decently explained.

I am well educated and No, I do not believe in it!

The vast majority of scientists who believe in evolution are also atheists or agnostics.

Evolution was "invented" by an atheist. Darwin's goal was not to disprove God's existence, but that is one of the end results of the theory of evolution. Evolution is an enabler of atheism. Evolutionary scientists today likely would not admit that their goal is to give an alternate explanation of the origins of life, and thereby to give a foundation for atheism. However, according to the Bible, that is exactly why the theory of evolution exists.

The Bible tells us, "The fool says in his heart, 'There is no God'" (Psalm 14:1; 53:1). The Bible also proclaims that people are without excuse for not believing in a Creator God, "For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities - His eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse" (Romans 1:20). According to the Bible, anyone who denies the existence of God is a fool. Why, then, are so many people, including some Christians, willing to accept that evolutionary scientists are unbiased interpreters of scientific data? According to the Bible, they are all fools! Foolishness does not imply a lack of intelligence. Most evolutionary scientists are brilliant intellectually. Foolishness indicates an inability to properly apply knowledge. Proverbs 1:7 tells us, "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline

If Creation is true, then there is a Creator to Whom we are accountable. Evolution is an enabler for atheism. Evolution gives atheists a basis for explaining how life exists apart from a Creator God. Evolution denies the need for a God to be involved in the universe. Evolution is the “creation theory” for the “religion” of atheism. According to the Bible, the choice is clear. We can believe the Word of our omnipotent and omniscient God, or we can believe the illogically biased, "scientific" explanations of fools.

How do I answer this question? No I do not not believe in evolution? No, I do believe in evolution? If I say yes, then I am saying I do not believe in evolution, and if I say no, I'm saying I do believe. I'm confused.

Convoluted as the logic may seem, most educated people accept evolution as the most likely answer as to how we got to where we are. The story of Genesis does not preclude evolution. It is possible to be educated and believe in both the Bible and evolution!!!

You need to explain what is decently educated for you. And what is evolution. I do think in evolution but the concept I have of evolution might be different from yours.

I have masters degree is this decently educated?

NOT. The question is subject to your definition of 'decently educated' and you will pick the answer that most closely reflects your feelings.
My education level is irrelevant to the question. But just to be factual, Genesis and the creation account contained therein are factual. Whether or not you agree is irrelevant to everything except where you will spend eternity.
Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

I do not expect you to do anything except ridicule me,
nevertheless I speak truth. Eze 2:5 And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.

I have a degree in biomedical science, with honors in pharmacology. So I have been taught about evolution at a university level, and I don't believe in it.

Even the lecturer who taught evolution gave us the 'facts' behind evolution, but said whether God is behind this process or not, that is up to us to decide.

I believe that everything was created by God.

Anyone with a decent education accepts evolution--jsut as they do any other scientific fact. Including real Christians.

There are only a few--the religious cults that pass temselves off as "funamentalist Christians" who "don't believe in evolution."

greater education does no longer advise greater information. maximum folk have faith what they have been taught as fact with out any questioning. in fact that many times education has a tendency to have faith those in education and not visit any extent further. people many times tend to have faith what the technology international taught them even although somewhat some those "information" have been shown incorrect at present. the somewhat some theories have been shown as a hoax and the scientific international offered the lies then. Even the evolutionists don't have faith what they as quickly as did. Their theories are constantly changing--evolution.

Well Yoda Green who will likely get the Best Answer summed up the open mindedness of liberals very well. Any of us who are well educated are liars. How easy then to dismiss honest debate. Everyone who agrees with you is honest and everyone who doesn't is lying and ignorant.

No sense in giving my credentials. I have before and they are always ignored by liberals. It is sad that there can be no honest debate about this as those on this forum who believe in evolution have closed their minds to debate.

1. why stir up the natives, if you wanted to discuss evolution you could have done it in the science section. By putting it in religion your inviting the "belivers' to get all worked up and defend thier position.

2. Why link your discussion to another site, unless your just promoting the site.

3. And despite being the most compelling theory to date about evolution of life on our planet, it is just a theory. Kind of a good subject to dicuss, a really lame one to argue about.

grow up!
