Zoroastrianism is one of the foundations of Christianity. Christianity is more like an evolution from Zoroastrianism rather than a rip off of the religion. Zoroastrianism is one of the main monotheistic religions and was established by the prophet Zoroaster who was the earliest prophets to predict the coming of Yeshua the Messiah ( Jesus Christ). The three wise men (Magi) in the Bible were more likely than not Zoroastrian priests. Judaism and Zoroastrianism were very close in tenets, possibly the only difference being the geographical location in which they emerged.

Dualism is at the top of the list. Judaism did not view Satan as an actual being of evil, but as the selfish part of all man... showing the dualism within man, instead of how Christianity views it... some form of evil outside of mankind trying to tempt him in all ways. (Which, to me, that seems to tear apart the idea that we are born with "original sin" if it's some outside force driving us to do those things... or to even think about them... we wouldn't even have the capacity to be tempted like that till we become self-aware - AFTER birth - so it can't be original sin AT birth)

Well it was first recorded in 440 BC...

The Bible starts at 2500 BC when the egyptians discover papyrus...However creation and noahs ark is undated...

Now anyone who went to elementary school knows that BC went BACKWARDS...so 2500 BC came WAY BEFORE 440 BC.

Your own WIKIPEDIA told me about the dating....

If you purchase a life application bible it will inform you of the dates of the bible...

Looks more like Zoroastrianism is a rip off of Christianity....

Dont believe me....Look at YOUR OWN INFORMATION...

Nope - Zoroastrianism borrowed theirs from other nations around them including some from the Israelites of O.T. fame.

P.S. Well stated "EDGE" ... ignorance is most -bliss when people attribute places, people or events to the Bible. "Cher" isn't it amazing how people back the proponent of this stated garbage when it self-contradictory !!!

As many times as wikipedia changed directions, I won't trust ANY of it.
Besides, I find so many people trying to debunk Christianity it becomes worthless to even have a debate.

Christianity pulls a lot of its rituals and stories from many of the pagan religions that were around.

No. Christianity has existed in one form or another since the beginning of humanity. The so called "copied" religions borrowed aspects from Christianity and other faiths, incorporating them into their own beliefs over time. It was not the other way around.

yes, christianity has NO original ideas at all...not even one. it is an amalgam of many different religious notions and is actually testament (pardon the pun) to the fact that being able to adapt to new and changing situations in the environment is the key to survival...just ask any evolutionist.
