Aww. Some people might do that, but others won't. It depends who it is and what salon. Good luck, though.

Hmm, this is why I do my own hair-dying or get friends to do it for me. You can never be certain that they know what you want at the salon. I'm pretty sure that if you told them that you wanted it a specific color (strawberry blonde) and it came out purple, you should have the right to ask them to redo it, or AT LEAST get a 1/2 price reduction for the next time you do it. Most salons are particularly generous, especially when the customer is unhappy; they want to get their business promoted by their customers so they usually will "redo" anything that doesn't come out like you wanted it to. My advice? Call back the salon you went to, ask to speak to the woman (if you know her name) who did the dying, and tell her how unhappy you are with the results. If she is a nice woman, she'll let you come back in and redo the process for you - although, you may have to wait a week or two for the color to totally develop before doing another application. If she objects and says something along the lines of "thats what you paid for," then I advise you to ask to speak directly to the manager; they will definitely take your situation into account and try to accomodate you. If you paid $165 for the whole process, I would DEFINITELY like to think that they would redo it; otherwise tell them how unhappy you are with their services and that you'd NEVER recommend their salon to a friend. I'm pretty sure that they will work with you though, just give it a try. Good luck!

While you may not get your hair redone for free, the stylist may still be willing to redo your hair at a reduced price; perhaps just the cost of the colors and conditioners she uses. Most stylists depend a lot upon word of mouth advertising, and they really don't want unhappy customers. She will not know you do not like your hair unless you tell her. It takes a little diplomacy, but if you keep your cool, a conversation with her may be all you need. Remember this formula: State what the problem is (wrong color) and what you expect the stylist to do as remedy (repair the color without charge). People who present themselves calmly and civilly get better results.

Did you have a picture to show your stylist for an example of what color you wanted, to begin with? Did you let her know right away that you weren't happy with it? It's always best to SHOW them a pic of what you want. Everybody has a different take on colors. If you did and it's way off base, she should be willing to work with you on a color correction. That should include a price reduction, at the very least. Don't wait. She thinks you're satisfied if you wait.

Awww I'm sorry. Call up the salon and explain what happened. They will allow you to come back in and will redo it for free, but they'll give you a different hair stylist. This happens to me alllll the time and I hate so much. ACtually, last week I brought in a picture of what I wanted done, color and cut wise, and she refused to cut my hair that way. I went back the next day and they did it for free. They will almost always do it for free.

I think you can!! Go back and bring you recept (if they even gave you 1) and tell them that you wanted strawberry blonde hair and you came out with reddish purple hair and you want the stylist to see what she can do to fix it!!

Usually if you are unhappy with it and you tell them how you feel they will redye it for you without you having to pay. But some places are bitchy.
You can always go to CVS and get something called like "Oops" or something. There are 2 kinds. One takes the dye out and you dont have to redye, the other takes the dye out to redye.
Hope that helps =)

You should not have left the salon if you were not happy. You can go back and let them know you are unhappy, but it will be up to them if they redo it or not. Hopefully they will value you as a customer and take care of it...but with today's customer service you never know.

Yes definitely go back and tell them that you are upset they will most likely do whatever they can to fix it. They are professionals and if it turned out different than you told them you wanted then they should fix it plus they are going to want you back as a costumer so most likely they will try to make you happy.
