Yes. Completely. I think that the indecision and the repeated fights in congress (amnesty, dream act, farmers bill, etc) are simply raising tensions.
Also, I think it is precisely that- racial tensions. All Latinos (even those here legally, or here for generations) are feeling the effects of it....

Yes, but not one way or another. If they go for amnesty, Most US Citizens will be pissed as hell. Maybe not immediately, but the ones, that know the effect it will have and has already had on our society.
Those of us who are angry now, remember when there was enough money to provide our children with quality public school education. How many, now, have what I had as far as electives. I had photograhy class, Drama, I learned to play the violin in grade school and continued througout high school. Those are just a few classes I remember enjoying. Some schools now, don't even have enough money for physical education classes. Do I need to go on to include, that some schools don't have enough money for each child to have a text book to take home to do their homework? Some of you are probably unaware, that some school systems are that bad off. Any teacher's in here what to confirm this fact? What about the courses offered and how slow paced it has become. My twins were put to sleep in most of their higher math courses. They received A's, of course, but never challenged, as they should have been. It's a disgrace.

I have to agree with smartazz citizen. I was just saying the same thing earlier talking to a family member.
45 Cal - The Democrats also decided in the same moment that they are going to sit on this Dream Act Bill for the next 60 days. Because this way it ensures that the Dream Act will pass without debate on it. The provision they included in this bill is that if they don't act on it in the next 60 days, the bill goes through by default, and then the bill becomes law automatically. So you still need to get your Democrat to get up and do something about this. Or go to your Republican Reps to add another provision to the bill to defeat it if they don't have the debate. Another words, play them against each other to have them do what you'd like to see happen.
If you weren't around when the Senator's and Congress Members used the same tactic to get their annual automatic cost of living wages for themselves. That's the way they achieved that. Their action to use in-action. I didn't vote them into office to pull that kind of stunt either on Americans. Did you?!

Illegal immigration is being allowed to continue because not only does the current adminstration not want to close the southern border of the US, they want to OPEN the northern border and make Canada, the U.S. and Mexico the "North American Union". It's called the "SPP" (Security and Prosperity Partnership) - and if you don't think this is real and already in progress you should google "SPP" and get updated. It has been aptly summarized as Americans using cheap Mexican labor to plunder Canadian natural resources. They want to bypass ports on the West coast of the US and use the new super NAFTA highway that runs from Mexican ports through the US and into Canada to import cheap Chinese goods. The US as you know it is going away unless the majority of Americans pull their heads out of their entertainment centers and actively petition their senators and supposed representatives and get raving mad and active.

The illegal every ones, (i don't want to single out Mexicans) are making it harder for those who have come here legally. People who obeyed the laws and waited their turn in line and payed the fees, and then waited some more are often times lumped into the illegal category. They face more trouble trying to do simple things like open a bank account or get car insurance. Its a sad state and it dosent look like anything is going be be changing any time soon.

Yes, racial tension is getting to the breaking point if the government of Mexico and the United States don't do anything about it. We'll have riots and fights among Latinos and White people.

you're conflating the language subject with the immigration subject. i think of unlawful immigration is a concern via fact it quantities to "in-sourcing" low priced hard paintings and unlawful immigrants serve to function added tension on an already strained infrastructure. They do grant economic fee in spite of the fact that, the cost of nutrition is stored greater much inexpensive as via unlawful immigrants working in agriculture. As for the language subject, i ought to care much less. in case you have been to Europe, many places, rather Germany, has signs and warning signs in English and in German. you do not see maximum Germans getting all bent out of shape approximately it. that's not that great of a deal. A poster stated they made California bankrupt, nonsense. they have fairly contributed, yet California could have been broke besides, they're issues run far deeper than unlawful aliens.

Actually I think our government has exacerbated the problem by doing little to solve the problem....when you and I elect our officials to do a job, we expect them to perform their duties as we the people have mandated, by our voting them into office. Their main concern should be for "we the people" the citizens of the US. When they do NOT perform and are are indecisive, we suffer the consequences of their lack of action(s). Now, because they do nothing the situation has been left to fester and become inflamed. The final straw for many Citizens was when they were out in full force in defiance of US laws and burning the US flag. For me, that was too much and I assure you it was too much for many others as well. We citizens are expected to abide by the laws of this country, why should illegals be able to stomp over those very laws? Finally, I dont see this as a racial issue...I see it as fighting for the sovereingty of our Nation.
EDIT- Sorry for writing a book here...but I felt it appropriate to let loose my feelings and thoughts on this issue due to the seriousness of the question.

If the economy turns sour and jobs get hard to find , then watch this whole illegal immigration thing blow up and get out of hand .
Americans don't mind sharing when it isn't
t hurting their family's , but when it does all civility is out the window .
The bottom line , they are breaking our laws and it has to stop for the good of America.
