Since you're obviously a beginner (no offense), I think you should go t a store and play with the cameras on display. Whichever one seems easiest to use is the one you should buy.

First, decide what you want to do with your photography. If all you want is a camera to use for family and friends there are many many quality digicams that are suitable. If, on the other hand, you want to do sports photography or extreme close-ups or have full manual control of the camera, a DSLR might be your better choice.

It might be best if you took a photography course before deciding on a camera. Check with your local high school or community college.
