I think the one thing you're not doing right is fully understanding God's promises to us. He never promised that if you do everything 'right' He will give you a nice life here on this earth. He never promised that He would see to it that your life was easy or even comfortable. I hope that's not too much of a surprise. He didn't. He promised eternal blessings, spiritual riches, and much more, but never material wealth or an earthly life of ease.
Instead, He will give you grace and strength to overcome trials, to resist temptation, and to follow Him no matter what.
By the way, when you gave up your old life and turned to God, you gained an enemy -- an active, powerful one whom you have seriously annoyed. Don't worry, God is infinitely more powerful than the devil. God will win, He will have victory in your life if you let Him. God will win. This doesn't mean the devil is easily defeated or that he'll give up without a fight. Ask other Christians to pray for you that you can stand strong through your trials. This brings much greater glory to God Himself than simply making you rich or giving you an easy life would. God deserves all the glory He can get, and only He deserves it.
I know things are tough. Try to focus on an eternal perspective even when you're not in church. Memorize some scriptures (ask other Christians to suggest some that they have found helpful) and keep them in your heart and mind and mouth all day long. Keep songs of praise in your heart and mind all day, too, and in your mouth when it's appropriate. Praising and glorifying God will keep the enemy away from your heart and mind. Honest! The devil can't stand being around Christians who praise God.

Keeping faith is based upon, staying in HIS WORD, conversation (prayer), and seeking Him with all of your mind, body and soul. If you do these things and serve Him in church, YOU will find HIM!
This means giving your everyday cares to the Lord through prayer. Seek scriptures which are similar to your walk or, hardships. The scriptures will show you the way.
In your prayers, pour out those hardships and such in which life gives you and He will lighten your burdens! He promised this but, it takes being able to give them over to Him! Most of us give them and then, tend to want to take them back! lol Control freaks that we are! As Christians, we know HE is capable and willing and still....well, you know! So, just keep giving them over to Him and watch His Hand move in your life!
I am going to be praying for your faith walk and I ask God to bless you in this plea to have Him more a part of your life!

now and lower back you get greater convenience in case you're taking issues on faith. in case you're having a undesirable day, even although you have no longer any information that issues will strengthen, it particularly is a comforting psychological outlook to experience that issues gets greater advantageous. some human beings may be greater tender with this than others, exceedingly in the event that they boost up in a kin that helps those ideals. look on the small issues you tackle faith and notice in the event that they make experience of their very own context, in the event that they are smart or helpful in any way. Then learn your cousin's non secular faith and with a bit of luck which will supply help to understand her place slightly greater.

Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Immerse yourself in scripture; this is the foundation of faith. Study it, meditate on it, praise and worship the Lord, have a prayer life. Make Him first in your life and priorities. That is how faith grows. God bless you for seeking Him.

The exodus man is right. You will go through many trials and tribulations but through that you need to cling on to Jesus and ask him to lead you and guide in every aspect of your life. I will pray for you. Oh and reading your bible more helped me so you can also give that a shot.

Once you become a child of GOD, the Bible NEVER says you will be free from troubles and trials. Indeed, it is the opposite. Once you become a child of GOD, you are MORE heavily attacked by the devil than before.
GOD bless

You're doing nothing wrong, there just is no god. Once you give up that fantasy and take control of your own life, things will probably get better.

Tell God this. He listens. Tell Him how you feel and how you want your desires to align up with His will for your life.
