People from all over the world where ever Pope John Paul went he was loved and respected. By even non Christians. He traveled everywhere, even Castro invited him to Cuba. When he was shot he forgave the man that shot him. He was a good example of what it is to be a Christian I think.

But we don't hear much about Pope Bennedict. Why?

Pope John Paul II, born in 1920, was elected in 1978 at the very young age of 58 and served for over 26 years, dying in 2005 at the age of 84.

Pope Benedict XVI was born in 1927, elected pope in 2005 at the age of 78 and recently turned 80. He is the oldest person to have been elected pope since Clement XII in 1730.

Pope Benedict has neither the youth nor the time in office that John Paul had.

With love in Christ.

Pope John Paul the II was a saintly and holy man. Pope Bennedict is pretty much the reincarnation of Evil. He is another Hitler, but thank God he does not have any military power.

It does not surpise me at all that so many people hate Bennedict. He is nuts.

Pope John Paul II was likeable. He seemed comforting somehow. There is something about Pope Benedict that makes me uneasy.

John Paul II was Pope for 27 years; Benedict XVI was elected less than two years ago. It seems a little premature to begin analyzing his worldwide impact.
