Yes. I check every single applicant, by providing documentation and then a follow-up phone call to the school verifying their information. Yes it takes time, but is worth it when I get to catch a fake in the act! Get that degree/diploma. We don't hire anyone without at least a GED. I am from a small/midsize midwest town, too. Not a big firm.

Generally speaking, they don't.

It is possible to fake a diploma and get a job.

However, larger companies do and the trend is to check. Modern diplomas come with a unique serial number which is hard to forge, so it is becoming more and more difficult.

Yes I believe they do especially if the job posting states that one must of a high school diploma or equivalent

It depends, for the Medical or Accounting professions They check the certificate #'s

yep and if u don't have one, i suggest u get a ged, cuz u can't do anything but crap jobs without one. heck, most of the jobs u get with one are crap jobs...ya better go to college
