let me understand your question...you want to pick a song for your husband to be to dance with your daughter (not his) at your wedding?
how old is the child? have her pick a song. Find some that she likes and let her pick her favorite. does she have a father she is close with? if so, i wouldnt pick a father daughter song. he will be there to help raise your daughter but I dont think it would be right to have that type of song.
if she isnt close with her father or see him often, then a daddy daughter song would be cute. and in that case if you daughter is young, pick a song that is cute but they could have fun dancing too like a beachboys song or something out of the ordinary

I definitely would stay away from the daddy's little girll type songs because this is a "new" family. I'm thinking something fun, not so sappy. Some suggestions:
Isn't She Lovely - Stevie Wonder
What a Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong
She Love You - The Beatles
You Should Be Dancing - Bee Gees
Dancing Queen - Abba
Chantilly Lace - Big Bopper
Lean On Me - Bill Withers (or Club Nouveau)
Just The Way you Are - Billy Joel
One Love - Bob Marley
Girls Just Want to Have Fun - Cyndi Lauper
I'm sure you will find the perfect one!

I would have your daughter pick it out, let it be fun and not a boring old slow song that she will feel uncomfortable dancing too. If she wants "My umberalla" by rania than let her. Its not only your day as a couple but her too as a family.

EVERYBODY here uses Daddy's Little Girl by Al Martino, so my daughter and I decided to be a little different and used the father-daughter duet of "Unforgettable" by Nat and Natalie Cole.
We got on the floor, she looked me in the eye and said "I won't if you won't", so we didn't cry, but her mother did.

I think that you should have the two of them pick it out, that way it will be something even more special for them.

does he have to dance with your daughter? i'd think you shouldn't make him and, if he wants todo it, he should pick hisown song.
